Another Proud Liberal...

[

Most importantly, these people are not liberals.

They are VERY illiberal.
.

Well said.

Case in point, I view myself as quite liberal. Jefferson, Payne, and Mason are men I aspire to emulate.

You mean the people who used lawbreaking and violence to found this country?

You think you can create some utopia of rainbows and unicorns on the foundations of violence, blood, and suppression of speech?

You should watch what you wish for.

Yikes, a member of the American version of the Sturmabteilung that doesn't even know the definition of "fascism" calling other people fascists because they have the audacity to disagree with her and her lunatic cohorts.

Why the fuck do people in the media give morons like this airtime?

How often are we so see proof of the axiom:
To recognize what the Left is doing, just listen to what they blame the other side for.

Why do "people in the media give morons like this airtime?"
Because they agree with the ends, if not the means.
They shouldn't call themselves Progressives, but Projectionists.

They tip off what they plan to do with a speech or an attack beforehand.
Most importantly, these people are not liberals.

They are VERY illiberal.
.
If they were very liberal they wouldn't be trying to stifle opposition and stifle freedom of speech.

....Fascist.

Rather than eviscerating the Leftist du jour, Tucker Carlson seems to have altered his strategy to drawing out the Liberals, and letting them sink themselves.
Problem is, Liberals won't realize that they are looking into a mirror.

Last night, he had a screaming banshee.....who is actually paid by our system to indoctrinate the young......she is a middle school 'teacher'.....into the very same beliefs as the Nazis and Fascists she claims the other side to be.

Yvette Felarca led and/or organized the destructive protest at Berkeley that ended the first amendment rights of Milo Yiannopolous.
This savage....er, Liberal.....hinted that murder of those with an alternative view would be appropriate.
My take-away is that we are witnessing proof that Liberalism is a mental disorder.

See what you think.

Hey, thanks for posting!

I didn't mean to watch the whole clip (I mean, c'mon, ... it's Tucker fucking Carlson), but was mesmerized.

What a tough and articulate woman, and she put that asshole fascist on the ground.

And BTW, despite Tucker's best efforts, you're just lying about her hinting that murder of those with alternative views would be appropriate.

Good for her.

This is the way you should treat alt-right asshats ...

"Thumbs up, soldier!"

Oh golly another tough guy.

No, I'm no tough guy ...

... but, I surely am attracted to smart, tough, opinionated, and articulate women.

Why do they threaten you so?

If what you claim is true, you should be

if what you claim is true, you would be attracted to Political Chic.

Lest any forget the video exposing the 'Proud Liberal' terrorist Bolshevik psychotic in the OP.....here is the original video.

Rather than quibble as to the absolutely correct terminology of her sickness, bear in mind that our political system is binary.....there are only two real choices.
This thug is of the Democrat/Liberal/Fascist orientation.

Whether or not you believe that Obama would have endorsed riots to obtain his ends, he would, this thug is he spawn of his sort of view.

It is time for every Democrat voter to realize that this is the side they are on if they continue to vote in the same vein.
Wake up...save our country.

Stop calling Yvette Felarca, the maniac in the video, a Liberal, in the sense of a classical liberal.

She is what Liberalism has become.

For reference, these are Liberals in the original meaning of the term:

Reform yourselves, Democrats.

You don't have a 1st amendment right to get paid to speak at a school.

When that school takes in government funds, it is obligated to obey the First Amendment and respect the First Amendment rights of anyone who speaks on that campus.

Chancellor’s message on campus appearance by Milo Yiannopoulos

"Since the announcement of Mr. Yiannopoulos’s visit, we have received many requests that we ban him from campus and cancel the event. Although we have responded to these requests directly, we would like to explain to the entire campus community why the event will be held as planned. First, from a legal perspective, the U.S. Constitution prohibits UC Berkeley, as a public institution, from banning expression based on its content or viewpoints, even when those viewpoints are hateful or discriminatory. Longstanding campus policy permits registered student organizations to invite speakers to campus and to make free use of meeting space in the Student Union for that purpose. As mentioned, the BCR is the host of this event, and therefore it is only they who have the authority to disinvite Mr. Yiannopoulos.

.........

In addition, however, we have also clearly communicated to the BCR that we regard Yiannopoulos’s act as at odds with the values of this campus. We have emphasized to them that with their autonomy and independence comes a moral responsibility for the consequences of their words, actions, events and invitations – and those of their guest. We have made sure they are aware of how Yiannopoulos has conducted himself at prior events at other universities, and we have explained that his rhetoric is likely to be deeply upsetting and perceived as threatening by some of their fellow students and members of our campus community. Our student groups enjoy the right to invite whomever they wish to speak on campus, but we urge them to consider whether exercising that right in a manner that might unleash harmful attacks on fellow students and other members of the community is consistent with their own and with our community’s values.

Finally, we have also made the BCR aware that some of those who are opposed to Yiannopoulos’s perspectives and conduct have vowed to mount a substantial protest against his presence on our campus. UCPD has been directed to maintain public safety and to do what it can to prevent disruptions and preserve order. It should be noted that the anticipated cost of those additional preparations and measures will be borne entirely by the campus, and will far exceed the basic security costs that are the responsibility of the hosting organization. We will not stand idly by while laws or university policies are violated, no matter who the perpetrators are.

Nothing we have done to plan for this event should be mistaken as an endorsement of Yiannopoulos’s views or tactics. Indeed, we are saddened that anyone would use degrading stunts or verbal assaults on marginalized members of our society to promote a political platform. And yet, I would quote my colleague, UC Irvine Chancellor Howard Gillman, who recently wrote, “Universities support free speech and condemn censorship for two reasons — to ensure that positive, helpful, illuminating messages can circulate widely, and to expose hateful or dangerous ideas that, if never engaged or rebutted, would gain traction in the darker corners of our society. Hate speech is like mold: Its enemies are bright light and fresh air.” This admonition may be more important in our current political moment than ever.

As always, we encourage those of you who wish to exercise your right to protest this event to review our standing suggestions regarding how to protest safely. We also want to reaffirm our shared commitment to the campus Principles of Community and the extent to which they capture and support our most important values and aspirations.

Sincerely,

Nicholas Dirks
Chancellor

You don't have a 1st amendment right to get paid to speak at a school.

When that school takes in government funds, it is obligated to obey the First Amendment and respect the First Amendment rights of anyone who speaks on that campus.

Paying people to speak on campus has nothing to do with the 1st Amendment.

When you're doing it on the campus of a school that takes money from a constitutionally bound government, that makes the school constitutionally bound to honor the 1st Amendment rights of the speaker, paid or otherwise.

Finally, we have also made the BCR aware that some of those who are opposed to Yiannopoulos’s perspectives and conduct have vowed to mount a substantial protest against his presence on our campus. What is your point in posting this 'cya' statement by the Leftwing-facilitating university???

Is this to pretend that the riot didn't happen????

Or....that the university didn't order it's security to stand aside, in effect a wink and a nod to the incendiary agitators????

Pleeeeezzzzze.

The people you support are responsible, and it is only luck that avoided a loss of life.

Here is another example of a Leftist university demanding that Republican clubs pay for "security" that is not allowed to act.

You are part of the problem.

Exactly...thank you.

Once again, not liberalism, but progressivism.

westy, the term 'liberalism,' as used today, the colloquial, is synonymous with 'progressivism.'

. "Hillary Clinton says she doesn't really like the descriptive word "liberal," preferring to be characterized as a "progressive."
"You know, (liberal) is a word that originally meant that you were for freedom … that you were willing to stand against big power and on behalf of the individual," she said at the CNN/YouTube debate. "Unfortunately, in the last 30, 40 years, it has been turned up on its head, and it's been made to seem as though it is a word that describes big government, totally contrary to what its meaning was in the 19th and early 20th century." She continued: "I prefer the word 'progressive,' which has a real American meaning, going back to the progressive era at the beginning of the 20th century. I consider myself a modern progressive."
What Is a Progressive? by Joseph Farah

If you would like it used in its original meaning, you have to say 'classical liberalism.'

It's all part of the debasement of the English language. Progressives hide under the mantle of liberal. Liberals, even modern day non classical ones, are not out to control everyone's life. That is solely the realm of the progressive and yes, progressives are evil.

Actually, it is the attempt by the left to hide who they are and what they believe......now that the word "liberal" has been attached to big government, big tax, anti-Americanism...they have to use a new word to hide who they are.....that word is "Progressive" the old word they used to use...

What is your point in posting this 'cya' statement by the Leftwing-facilitating university???

First, to show that the University supports free speech and urged peaceful protests for those who felt it necessary to protest. Secondly, I liked this quote:

“Universities support free speech and condemn censorship for two reasons — to ensure that positive, helpful, illuminating messages can circulate widely, and to expose hateful or dangerous ideas that, if never engaged or rebutted, would gain traction in the darker corners of our society. Hate speech is like mold: Its enemies are bright light and fresh air.”

Finally, to opine that Campus Police are not Riot Police and that any future appearance by Milo and others who generate possible riotous violence at appearances on campuses, the campuses should ask their respective governor for help with containing any riots. Perhaps mobilize the States National Guard to escort the fellow around while he is on campus.

Stop lying......you're not THAT stupid.

John Locke is often credited with founding liberalism as a distinct philosophical tradition. Locke argued that each man has a natural right to life, liberty and property,
LOL, way to destroy your own argument, John Locke had nothing in common with those members of the American Left that have managed to hijack the "liberal" moniker, thus the need for the classical designation to distinguish the founders mode of liberalism from the modern authoritarians hiding behind the "liberal" mask to hide the fact that their answer to every problem is the use of government force to deprive the citizenry of liberty and property pursuant to getting their own way.

The founders had a fitting moniker for those who thought and behaved the way modern "liberals" do, they called them "royalists".

That ain't "them" misusing the label --- it's cretins like the OP. WHICH IS EXACTLY WHAT I CAME HERE AND POINTED OUT.

I've never in my life claimed that John Locke had anything to do with "leftism'. That's YOUR strawman. That's why I've been knocking it down.

DUMBASS.
