This is a shooting that actually occurred, but because shots were fired, but no one was injured or killed, it won't make the statistics unless she is actually called by a researcher, and it won't make national news again, because no one was injured or killed. Now, in this case....it still wouldn't make national news because it isn't that interesting, so those trying to prove that guns are used in self defense on average 1.4 million times a year would have to know specifically about it to point it out.
