The only Princeton professor who was elected president had only one thing going for him, he was a democrat. Fellow liberal professors did what they could to enhance a legacy for Woodrow Wilson but it was thin. The point is that elitist Princeton professors ain't the brightest bulbs in the academic marquee especially when they live in their own circles outside of the people they refer to as "the common citizen". President Trump has more in common with the "common citizen" than most elite tenured professors who don't have to worry about meeting a payroll or worrying about his retirement 401k which ironically increased in value since Trump was elected.
