Their living situation required them to lookout for their commune as a whole. Individuality or individual achievement had no place in their lifestyle. All traditions, rituals, belief systems and art/literature complimented a communal lifestyle. Those traditions didn't disappear while Africans were enslaved. Over thousands of years the righteous black man has evolved to what he is today.

Europeans lived as peasants renting land from a landlord. The landlord came by once a year to collect his payment for use of the land. Any excesses was kept by the tenant. Individual achievement was a matter of life and death. There was no community from where to draw support or resources. All traditions, myths and art was designed to encourage the peasant to maximize production. Over thousands of years the evil white man has evolved into what he is today.

The politics of a white man are going to be vastly different than the politics of a black man simply because our history is different. When blacks started voting it changed the American political traditions. We were no longer enjoying an Anglo Saxon English way of life. We became an America all of our own. These drastic changes were scary and unwelcome by many people.

Thank you for your courage. A lot of people are afraid to address this issue head on. The white man did evolve and develop traditions based upon an European environment. The black man did evolve and develop traditions based upon an African environment. The North American continent is a lot less extreme than either the European or the African continent. We are all here in a long transition period that has only been taking place 400 years or so. That transition period has been slowed down drastically because blacks weren't allowed to participate as much into the merging of a North American culture. It is further slowed down by our advances in transportation. People are moving to our country from other continents which makes the development of a North American mindset that is consistent with our geography further away. This could take a few thousand years or possibly more. We are in a transition period. Nobody should hold their breathe if they are expecting to see drastic changes in our life time.
