I'm not that concerned with Leviticus. Jesus didn't say a thing about governments allowing or disallowing gay marriage.

Kim Davis should have just quit instead of doing this protest thing.

What is really funny is what Christians call the OT was given to the Jews not the non Jews, or as the bible calls them the strangers (non Jews as it referred to then at that time)

Jesus made it clear that marriage was between a man and a woman. From the beginning. See Genesis and understand that Jesus Christ is the Word. The same Word that became flesh and dwelt among men in the Gospel of John, Asterism.

If Kim Davis is in jail for ‘not doing her job,’ then she needs to be released immediately

Canada Free Press ^ | 09/07/15 | Dan Calabrese
Because that's not against the law. As Christians rise up against the jailing of Kim Davis, citing it as an example of persecution against someone engaging in the constitutionally protected free exercise of religion, a common retort from the secular left has been as follows: “She’s not in jail for exercising her religion. She’s in jail for not doing her job.” If that’s the case, she needs to be freed immediately. There is no statute in this country that makes it a criminal offense not to do your job, or to do your job poorly. If there was, Barack Obama...

You are incorrect.

Many jurisdictions criminalize malfeasance of those in elected office. The State of Kentucky imposes criminal penalties against those public office holders who refuse to perform a legal duty. You apparently don't know it, but Kim Davis is presently in the process of being charged with official misconduct and could face jail time if convicted.

“Meanwhile on Friday, the Rowan County Attorney’s Office said it referred an official misconduct charge against Davis to the Attorney General’s office. A release from the county attorney’s office says Kentucky Bar Association “Rules of the Supreme Court of Kentucky prohibit the Rowan County Attorney’s Office from prosecuting Davis” because they are involved in current litigation with Davis.

“The Morehead News notes KRS 522.020 and KRS 522.030 deal with official misconduct in the first and second degree, respectively. “A public servant is guilty of official misconduct in the first degree when, with intent to obtain or confer a benefit or to injure another person or to deprive another person of a benefit, knowingly commits an act relating to his office which constitutes an unauthorized exercise of his official functions or refrains from performing a duty imposed upon him by law or clearly inherent in the nature of his office or violates any statute or lawfully adopted rule or regulation relating to his office,” according to KRS 522.020.

“Official misconduct in the first degree is a Class A misdemeanor and is punishable with imprisonment not to exceed 12 months and fines of $500. Official misconduct in the second degree is a Class B misdemeanor and carries a potential punishment of up to 90 days imprisonment and fines of $250. The charge must be tried in court before a designation of first or second degree is placed upon it."

Kim Davis should not be forced to violate her Christian beliefs by issuing a marriage license for a same sex couple. The murder of babies has been legalized yet it is still murder and against the commandments of God - we have yet to see Christian Doctors forced to perform abortions because it is legal. Will that be next? What about Pastors being forced to marry same sex couples? Bakers forced to make cakes for them? Politicians arrested if they make a political speech condemning same sex marriage - we can surely expect they will go after freedom of speech next - they are already trying to reword gender differences. It's only a matter of time before they start forcing people on the work place to acknowledge these unholy unions and address he's as "she" and "she" as "he"... Will those people lose their jobs or be arrested for refusing to comply?

Are you supporting Kim Davis for her faith and for defending the laws of Kentucky? For any who are not aware of who Kim Davis is, she is the clerk who was put in jail for refusing to issue a marriage license to a same sex couple. In the State of Kentucky marriage is between a man and a woman. Are you supporting Kim Davis for standing up for her faith in Jesus Christ? Yes or no?

What does the faith in Jesus Christ with her performing her civic duties ?

Have you ever heard of paired saints?

The Origins and Role of Same-Sex Relations in Human Societies

No and I am not interested in hearing about it because it is not taught in the Holy Bible. She has a right as a Christian to not participate in issuing a same sex marriage license. Kim Davis is a victim of religious persecution.

I want to know how she is standing up for her christian faith. Does it say anywhere in the bible not to serve homosexuals? Christians getting all bent out of shape from a couple of passages in the old testament yet they remain silent on the whole working on Sunday which is even a commandment. Sounds like they are just a bunch of homophobics and their using their religion as a crutch.

Live in peace with each other. 14 And we urge you, brothers and sisters, warn those who are idle and disruptive, encourage the disheartened, help the weak, be patient with everyone. 15 Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else.

16 Rejoice always, 17 pray continually, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

19 Do not quench the Spirit. 20 Do not treat prophecies with contempt 21 but test them all; hold on to what is good, 22 reject every kind of evil.

23 May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24 The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.
Even in context it's legally irrelevant.

The Word of God is higher than man made law. We are to keep our whole spirit, soul and body blameless. We are to abstain from all appearances of evil. Christians are to abstain from every appearance of evil. The King James Bible does not say reject every kind of evil. It says abstain from every "appearance" of evil. Some of the main translators of the NIV King James Bible were homosexuals. It is a new age book that has removed much scripture, added words that were not there and taken away words that were there. It is a corrupted book and should not be used. People need to stay with the King James Bible. See Gail Riplinger's exposing of the NIV and the satanic agenda of those who put it together.

She is a Christian first and she is putting God's Word first. As she should. She is under no obligation to participate in the issuance of a same sex marriage license which is against the laws of God, against her faith in God and interferes with her liberty to be a Christian in all good conscience.

It's fine for a person to believe that. And when they can no longer, in good conscience, enforce the laws of man, they should resign from any position where that is their responsibility.

King james was a homosexual and was known by his close friends as Queen James

King James was Gay

How many folks know that King James (who commissioned the King James Bible and to whom it was dedicated) loved men and had sex with them? At the age of thirteen James fell madly in love with his male cousin Esme Stuart whom he made Duke of Lennox. James deferred to Esme to the consternation of his ministers. In 1582 James was kidnapped and forced to issue a proclamation against his lover and send him back to France.

As he aged James indulged his preference for handsome men, living apart from his wife. His doting fondness was part paternal, part erotic; he called his favorite George Villiers "sweet child and wife" and referred to himself as "your dear dad and husband." But to his courtiers, the sight of the aging, paunchy, balding monarch, who according to one court observer had a tendency to drool, leaning on his paramours was utterly repellant.

It's fine for a person to believe that. And when they can no longer, in good conscience, enforce the laws of man, they should resign from any position where that is their responsibility.

When I originally heard about the story I thought perhaps that was the right course of action but I've changed my mind after realizing the importance of what she did. She took a stand for the Word of God and for her faith and she enforced the laws for marriage in the State of Kentucky. She didn't do anything wrong. Why should she leave her job?

Furthermore, dblack, there is the matter of why this is happening. You see, if our founding fathers were here today they would be utterly astonished and horrified at how the laws of this land have been perverted, they would be grieved to the core of their being to learn that same sex marriage was being celebrated as "normal", that there had been over 50 million babies murdered in America and yet the majority of Americans only showed outrage over the loss of life when it was a lion in Africa named Cecil. They would be sure to recognize that God has given the people of this land over to a strong delusion to believe a lie because they loved not the truth of His Word nor would they obey the Word of God. They would be quick to point out that this is representative that the people (who are the Word of God) have been given over to reprobate minds.

What you do not realize is that the judgment of God is about to fall upon America. 2 Thessalonians 2: 1- 12 explains where we are at as a nation. Please read this and consider what is happening to you right now:

2 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,

2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?

6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.

7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

You failed to point out anything, because the NIV is not the Bible. It's a corrupted translation whose main translators were homosexuals. If you desire to discuss Bible Scripture with me use the Authorized King James Version Bible, Care4all. Or forget it.

Information on why the other translations are corrupted:
