Trump U was like many get rich quick scams, however Trump made the mistake of exaggerating claims to the point that his exaggerations became out right lies. He wasn't satisfied with just putting the Trump name on the business but he called it a University which it was clearly not. A university by definition offers degrees in many branches of advanced learning while Trump U actually offered nothing but various seminars, no degrees and had no accreditation. Sales people told customers they would be guided by Trump every step of the way when in truth Trump did practically nothing. Claims were made about advanced degrees that they legally could not offer and curriculum that did not exist. Student tuition was often how much the salesperson could squeeze out of their customers.

When the lawsuits started Trump blamed the students for falling for his line of bull just like he did with his investors. When his presidency proves to be a sham just like Trump U, he will probably blame his supporters for voting him into office.

He has about 75 open lawsuits still pending. Trump claims he never looses in court, but that's only because he settles out of court and declares it a victory. Trump has had about 3500 lawsuits. Many of these are deformation of character suits which he uses as a weapon to harass his enemies.

I'm sure he would have been shaken up, but not all trials allow video evidence, and I think most do not allow filming.
