It is a mafia town. They don't let many leave alive so they just have more people coming in and nobody going out. Eventually with the spread of whacky weed legalization, they will probably see those numbers come down.
 
Average home here in Hermitage PA is $135,000. But if that too rich for your blood, its only 60k in the nearby tremendous city of Farrell.
 
I am sorry but this is not good data.
Denver, like many high cost of living cities, has very high inner city housing... but step just outside the city... and the low cost struggling class begins.
You have the elitist liberals living in the city, and the starving liberals feeding off the crumbs surrounding them.
This is by design.
The areas surrounding the city are full of crappy housing less than $100,000

Yes it is.
You look at any high cost city and you have the elitist "haves" and the majority "have nots". And for some reason, left folks have no issue with the fact the more liberal a city is - the more the contrast is between the elites and everyone else.
