The fire was determined to have started when one of the protesters ignited an American flag and accidentally caught his pants on fire. The fire quickly spread to a trash receptacle and subsequently, to a nearby building.
All total, the number of buildings the fire engulfed was 263, which took a total of 15 days to extinguish....."
