Even worse...TeatardsKentucky's poverty problem fifth worst in U.S.
I bet they voted Republican.
'We don't live, we exist,' said Donald Hayes, left, as he walked with her after the two received donated food from the South Louisville Community Ministries on Southside Drive Monday, Jan. 22, 2007. The two say they receive $900 a month in social security, with only $125 in food stamps for the whole month. They don't have a car, so they walk or take the bus.

But Republicans are right. No ones keeping them poor or in Kentucky. This is America. Join the army and get outIt doesn't matter what you subscribe to. All the facts are in and blacks are complete failures by any standard. That only works if you subscribe to white superiority which I dont. You see its boderline retarded to believe that white people are smart enough to know how to measure intelligence. Then you add in the fact that even white people have proven there is no one IQ test that can determine intelligence. If they were black they would be. The disparity of IQ is a matter of race, not stature nor height. Given your race, you might even be above average. an IQ of 86 would apparently do that. Still, you have to accept that in any other demographic you are borderline retarded.
Alas, such is black life.
Arguing is useless. You can have the Danger dingbat if that makes you feel better, but I imagine it would do little to bolster the confidence of anyone but bottomfeeders like yourself, much like a mudshark.
We're talking about Kentucky, where the majority are white Republican's. These people can't seem to pull themselves up by their bootstraps.
I'd tell you to look in the mirror, but you'd break it.
Um, the author of this OP is trying to blame Obama.

Him and the Democrat War on Poverty that has created more poverty.
23% of the population is single white mothers, with no father in the home. What's up with that?
Only 23%? The negro average is 72%.
That's just for Lee county, with a population of approx. 8,000.
(Correction: That's in Beattyville, with a population of less than 2,000.)

If any of you can step back for a moment, this last post of mine points out that poverty like this is not just a matter of race.
It's a matter of government control and welfare that takes the initiative out of life.
It's also a matter of faith and a sense of self-value.

And what would you like to see happen? It is my understanding that Republican's want to cut entitlement programs, no?
Should they keep getting assistance, yes or no?

I am NOT a Republican. I've called myself Independent but have decided I am really a Constitutionalist.
What do I want to see done?
I want to see an immediate appeal of every single regulation. ALL OF THEM!
Then, I want to see an effort to review every single rule and regulation from the Executive Branch to ensure they follow the constitution.
As for the poor. I would like to see them receive a useful education heavy in trades.
Let more people start and run their own businesses without government oversight and strangulation.
Mormons don't seek WIC, or food stamps, or other government assistance [other than Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid], when a member becomes unable to support his or her family, the church them provides their needs. In return, the donee works at church facilities as a form of payback. And, when they get back on their feet, they donate time and goods to help other members who might be in need.
In other words, a matter of individual and neighborly responsibility.
The entitlement culture is on a rampage. Anti-austerity protests, riots, and violence have erupted across Europe.
Euro socialists are being forced to cut their beloved welfare state because they finally ran out of other peoples money.
Brilliant! What an awesome idea.
How long until the ACLU and other liberal groups haul it into court – at taxpayer expense – to try to overturn it?

I understand that you are against regulating the nasty coal industry.
I also notice that you ignore the fact that most of those poor white people in Kentucky are on Government assistance, yet you remain silent on this issue.
Lets look at a couple of your quotes on the entitlement issue.

Here you are wanting to drug test welfare recipients. I'd like to point out, that if you drug test the people of Beattyville, KY, a large percentage of the town will lose their benefits.
NOW I'm asking you once again, should we keep these people on Government assistance?
That is a yes or no question.

Are you truly ignorant?
They CAN'T GET JOBS. Obama's energy policy has decimated the coal and timber industries that this entire region depended upon for more than a century.
And where do they move to? The economy sucks no matter where you look.
But you Obamabots continue to close your eyes.

No. Thats not true at all. There may be a few gaming the system. Before the war on poverty, people helped each other in time of need. We've created a society of dependency on government and it has resulted in taking away the pride and determination that made us the best country everywhere.
There is also a dichotomy here. American "poor" have things poor in other countries only dream of.
