Believe in Something. Even If It Means Sacrificing Everything

By pissing off America, the Nike corp. is going to experience that new slogan too. Kaeperdick is the reverse King Midas - everywhere he goes people lose money.

Huh. Then why are Nike online sales up 31%?

It's a brief publicity spurt among the black crybabies. It will start going down, just watch.
That was said two years ago when Kaepernick was the only one kneeling. Now, how's that suppression working for you trumpanzees?

What about Serena Williams? Another Nike. What does she believe to sacrifice everything? Ranting? Improper conduct on a tennis court to get a penalty by white umpire? Sexist umpires? Unfair coaching (cheating)? Opponent lets her win? So called "racist" political cartoons by media?

That is a damn racist cartoon. She got punished for the very thing that made men like Connors and McEnroe famous.

How is the cartoon racist? I don't see the racism nor sexism. Both Connors and especially McEnroe were penalized and fined for their ranting. It's not any different with Serena. They were all punished the same for their bad behavior. The difference is that Connors and McEnroe did not let their ranting upset them to the point of losing matches.

These spoiled athletes are just complaining about something and they expect to get rewarded for it. Nike is taking advantage of free pub and expects to sell their shoes and sportswear.

What makes you think America is pissed off?

Because we are. If you make people mad when you’re trying to be a SJW doesn’t it reduce your ability to get people behind your cause. A mad patriotic American doesn’t tend to care what you have to say,

Nike going to take their $39B worth and help whatever the hell cause this disrespect of America is over?
No.
Kap going to?
No.
Any NFL player?
No.

Leftists are just bullshitters who invented a new excuse to piss on America.

The unemployed third rate QB no NFL team wants does have one big fan though:

Well, let's review.

Kaepernick knelt silently to protest racial inequities and police brutality.

Trump took his protest as disrespecting the flag, servicemen and A,Erica in general.

Other players joined Kaepernick's kneeling, silent protest.

Trump spurred his followers and the NFL owners (a less competent group of people can be found only in the West Wing) to fire the protesting players making the issue not only NOT about what the protests were about, but a cultural dividing red meat issue to distract from his own legal jeopardy.

And the distraction works for his followers, but no one else. Cultural wedge issues carry far more weight with the culturally dispossessed than critical issues of crime and conspiracy in the White House. Trump truly could shoot someone on Fifth Avenue and non one among his followers would care.

Why does the cultural issue of Trump's open disdain for southerners play at all among his followers, many of whom are southerners themselves? What Svengali like grip does he hold on their minds?

It’s Trumps fault? Trump gave him a national voice AND offered any player to come to the WH and meet with him and try to work on something, did anyone go? You probably don’t like Trump but he’s the man in charge and would seam like if he gave the offer to come and meet and at least try would show a lot of us that maybe he really wants to do something, but he didn’t so we still don’t think he is really risking everything.

Going to the White House and meeting with Trump did what exactly for the Parkland kids last spring? Going to the White House and meeting with Trump did what exactly for the Democrat congressional caucus during the tax bill debate last spring?

Why go to the White House for a photo op?

So they shit on America because of Trump?

Thanks for campaigning for Trump.

No, you are pissed, most of America could not really give a shit. You assume way too many people are like you when that just is not the reality of the situation.

Once again, here's where reading and writing come to pay off.

Had you read my post, had you acquired the skill of comprehending (that means understanding) what I wrote, you would never posted something that makes you look like such a poor student.

Kneeling silently never amounted to shitting on America, as you so inelegantly pit it. Protesting is a right all Americans enjoy. Those who boycott Nike are, in fact, protesting.

The NFL players are not protesting because of or directly against Donald Trump. They are protesting police brutality and racial inequality. Their protests are seen by some very unfortunate people who either do not understand their protests, chose to ignore there is a reason for the protests or cannot frame a thought generated by their own minds and not planted there by a reality TV game show host.

Huh. Then why are Nike online sales up 31%?

It's a brief publicity spurt among the black crybabies. It will start going down, just watch.

The ad is polling very, very well. Among those that have watched it, 56% are more likely to buy Nike. Only 13% are less likely. Among the key Nike demo of Millenials and Gen Z.......90% are as likely or more likely to buy after watching the ad.

With Nike up 58% on the year. That doesn't denote a company on the way down.

It's reactionary. Vendors are expecting sales to increase, so they are likely increasing their stock. If they experience poor sales, then the stock they order now will hold them over for the next several months.

It's easier to change the numbers by buying merchandise. It will take months before people who quit buying products will show up on the books.

But trust me, there are probably a lot more people pissed off about this than those who are not, and time will tell that story:

Louisiana city recreation department prohibited from using Nike apparel or equipment

College volleyball team wears gray T-shirts instead of Nike gear for match

These are online sales. Directly to the consumer. So your entire 'vendor' theory falls flat.

And if 'a lot more people are pissed off about this than not'.....then why after watching the Kapernick ad are 56% more likely to buy while only 13% aren't?

Ace Metrix polled consumers on how Kaepernick’s signing would impact their plans to spend money with Nike. Thirteen percent of those surveyed said they were less likely to purchase from Nike after viewing Kaepernick’s first ad. That percentage was down to 10 percent among millennials and 6 amongst Generation Z. Conversely, a staggering 56 percent of those surveyed said they were more likely to purchase from Nike after seeing the commercial.

Kaepernick's Nike commercial 'is a big hit with consumers'

As it looks like you're outnumbered almost 5 to 1.

Its entirely possible you misread the room.

Wait and see, that's all I'm saying. I know how Republicans are. It will take some time, but Nike stock and sales will hit the toilet.

NFL kick-off game hits HISTORIC RATINGS!!! [historically BAD]

NFL’s Week One TV ratings up on Sunday afternoon, down in prime time

the league has so far seen improvement in three broadcast windows and a decline in two broadcast windows.

The league’s television ratings, which once looked unstoppable, have steadily declined in the last few years, although NFL games are still the most popular programming on American television.
