Bernie Sanders speech: End Pharma Greed

One pill makes you larger
And one pill makes you small
And the ones the pharmacabal gives you

Don't do anything at all

Slavishness Leads to Incompetence

That is caused by the fact that corporate patents mean that science is for suckers, which leads further and more deeply to the fact that if some nerd swallows his pride, he chokes his talent. It starts with the insult to intelligence of not being paid a high salary as a college student. That creates educated eunuchs who are too brain-drained to create medication that works.

Those who listen to these debates between inferior but highly placed people will miss the point on everything.

The March of Dimes as well as the U. of Pittsburgh were Salk's funders and employers, and looked into patenting the vaccine. But there was nothing patentable in Salk's innovation.

It had little to do with Salk's generosity, and the decision to patent wasn't his.

Mind-Control Creates Silly Wimps

Whether he could have patented the polio vaccine or not, there is nothing to respect about being a pushover, whether for the ungrateful public or for greedy corporate yahoos. "Creating for the love of science" is sucker bait pushed by the plutocratic parasites' universities."

As Americans die because they can't afford the medications they need, 5 of the largest drug companies in the U.S. made nearly $80 billion in profits last year alone. SOMETHING has to change!

I am always dubious about comments without and links or substantiation.
But most of you anti-dharma almost NEVER consider the below facts.

I find this hilarious because for the last couple of years the government itself has been making big pharma richer and richer by mandating and paying for Covid vaccines.

Pharmaceutical companies wouldn't bother to develop new medicines, if they didn't think they would make money on them.

And medicines that aren't developed aren't going to be around to help anyone.

What fools like Crazy Fucking Bernie fail to recognize is that actually developing medicines and bringing them to market isn't a sure thing from any pharm concern. Plenty of medicines fail to succeed completely and a drug isn't proven to be safe or effective, others fail financially even if their development is a success- because another drug company came up with a solution to the problem first.
Developing medicines is a sure enough thing that they made $80 BILLION profit in one year.

It's Big Pharma which created our national opioid addiction. They created the demand.

The invention of Oxycontin definitely opened the door to a lot of opioid dependency. When oxycodone was only available in pills where it was combined with acetaminophen, it was a lot less addictive. The acetaminophen would destroy the dopehead's liver long before they could get seriously addicted to the opioid.

However, these pills are still very important for people who have had complicated surgery, or are suffering from severe cancer pain, so I can't see where their invention is a complete point of negativity.

With Gov't approval.
It's a vicious circle.
Yes, with government approval of politicians they owned. Including Trump's drug czar nominee until 60 minutes revealed he was in the pocket of Big Pharma.

Trump almost got away with it! Damn that liberal media enemy of the people!

As I have pointed out countless times, Big Pharma put far, far more opioids on the streets than they knew was a legitimate demand for.

Profits and their stock price and constant growth is all they cared about.

If a legit doctor doesn't prescribe the pill, the patient won't get it.

Lilly and Pfizer don't ship truckloads of opioids to the cartels for distribution.

A lot of money in the drug business is selling what is already developed.
Which means developing new drugs is not the high risk bullshit their apologists would have you believe.

It works out quite well for them or they wouldn't be in the business.

So it's back to being Trump's fault.
Go dig a hole :dig:and pull the dirt back in behind you, vacuous blob.
