If, as is often stated, the second ammendment helps to keep a government honest then the same arms that a government has so should private citizens. The ammendment states ARMS. People like you who turn the pages of their copies of guns and ammo one handed decided all of a sudden that it should be firearms and only firearms that the amendment applies to for no other reason than you love guns. The manufacturers can control the quality of their product but they have no way whatsoever of controlling what you do with their product.

Because they are allowed to legally bribe Congressmen to write them a special law. The bribes are called " campaign contributions " and would land them in prison if done in private industry but Congressmen wrote special laws making " campaign contributions " legal bribery.

That's why we MUST have Public Financing of all political campaigns right down to city / township level.

As long as the wealthy can legally bribe Congressmen we will never have HONEST government in the U.S.A.
