I was pretty much just assuming that Hillary was going to win, so I didn't pay much attention to what she was saying in her speeches. I do remember her spending a lot of time slamming Trump and not getting into the meat & potatoes, but those were just sound bytes from her speeches.

Anyway, here's an interesting piece from the Daily Beast:

Team Bernie: Hillary ‘F*cking Ignored’ Us in Swing States

Behind-the-scenes stuff is always interesting. From the piece:

“They fucking ignored us on all these [three] battleground states [while] we were sounding the alarm for months,” Nomiki Konst, a progressive activist and former Sanders surrogate who served on the 2016 Democratic National Committee platform committee, told The Daily Beast. “We kept saying to each other like, ‘What the fuck, why are they just blowing us off? They need these voters more than anybody.’”

“The math that they lost on, is the math we won on,” Konst said. “So we wrote out a plan, and sent it to them, telling them to stop thinking you’re going to get this ‘Obama coalition,’ it’s not going to happen.”

“We were painting them a dire picture, and I couldn’t help but think they literally looked like they had no idea what was going on here,” she continued. “I remember their faces, it was like they had never fucking heard this stuff before. It’s what we had been screaming for the past 9 months
It’s like [they] forgot the basics of Politics 101.”

“A ham sandwich could beat Donald Trump,” Melissa Arab, a Michigan delegate for Sanders, told The Daily Beast during a protest outside the Democratic convention in July. “And Hillary cannot beat Donald Trump.”

“For me this is not about Hillary Clinton, this is about HIllary Clinton’s staff becoming too insular, too professional where regular working-class folks did not matter to them,” Kleeb said. “She had too many people [on her campaign] wearing Prada going into pollster meetings, not enough of us.”

That's nice, one group of losers giving advice about how to lose to the other group of losers.

"We kept saying to each other like, ‘What the fuck, why are they just blowing us off? They need these voters more than anybody.’”

Er... umm, yeah, Ms. Valley Girl ... it's a complete mystery as to why the Clinton Campaign would blow you and your gang of lunatic socialist lemmings off, perhaps if they'd have listened to you geniuses Clinton could have lost all 50 states.

Well, I do think it's interesting that they saw it. From the outside, it seems like the two camps couldn't be much more different in their approach, and it does demonstrate why many Bernie supporters were never-Hillary.

It looks like she/they thought she could just float above it all, poke at Trump, and get the win. Bernie's people knew better, and I'd be interested to know what kind of empirical evidence they had, too.

Hillary still would have lost. She was too corrupt to put into office.

Team Trump would simply have had to try a few more things to shed her those votes and they only needed one of Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.

Remember how far down Trump was just two weeks before the election?

And he still came back to win.

No, Hillary would have still lost as she was guiding her campaign based on false information and deeply flawed polling. The Sanders people would have not saved her.

Tough to say. She sure didn't lose by much in the swing states, and that may have been different if those voters thought she actually gave a shit.

The Democrats' national approach in 2020 will be fascinating to watch, that's for damn sure.

Well, may the Bernie people reap what they sowed....hope they are happy campers the next 4 years!

2020 will be a watershed moment for both. We know that there are millions of votes not being cast all over this country, and one of these two groups has to give them a reason why to come out. If the Democrats try to put up Bernie or Warren, they are going to lose, and lose big. Somebody that is more of a centrist though...........well, we have to see how much rope Trump runs out to hang himself with, lol.

Don't forget, the Bernie Bots got their asses kicked in the primaries.

So a. Perhaps they should have followed their own advice when their candidate was actually running for the nomination
and b. Why the hell would the campaign that beat them pay any attention to what they had to say regarding how they should run their campaign?

Bernie is irrelevant and more than likely would have fared worse than Hillary in the general, apparently someone needs to let these people know that their 15 minutes of fame are up.

Back during the Moon Bat Primaries Commie Bernie was drawing thousands of Moon Bats at his rallies. At the same time Crooked Hillary was having her Limousine Liberal $25K a plate fundraisers for a few dozen people.

When Crooked Hillary was lucky to get a couple of thousand Moon Bats for her rallies Trump was drawing tens of thousands. That should have been a red flag for the Liberals that Crooked Hillary wasn't doing it right and that she should have looked to Commie Bernie for some guidance.

From the beginning hilly never put any effort into her campaign. Now either she really believed her own bs...Or

Her confidence was placed in something else.....Info or ops not privy to the public . Only effort she exerted was at the debates. I almost look at it as a test of how successful their propaganda campaign was, could the truth about her be told and not matter.

Yeah, agreed across the board. There's no way to freaking know what will happen over the next two or three years, but the Democrats need to take a cue from the GOP and come out with a left-leaning populism, and somehow find a way to either shit-can the crazies or direct their crazy in a better direction.

I'm thinking more Levi's and flannel shirts, for example.

My impression was that the feeling was "yeah, I'd really prefer Bernie, but I need to get behind Hillary". That seems understandable to me, all things considered.

So there may be more energy there than we know.
.

It was obvious that Hillary was going to win the democrat nomination. At first I thought that the only way Hillary wins is if she runs against someone like Trump. After a time of listening to people I realize that the only way Trump was going to win, and he had a good chance, was to run against someone like Hillary, and Trump knew that.

Hillary didn't have the support of the same people who voted for Obama, she isn't black. No white guilt was going to get Hillary votes. And when you get right to it a lot of women were not going to vote for her because.....she is a woman. Why else would women vote for the pussy grabbing Trump? Hillary also had the political cycle going against her. People get fed up with the ruling party and they vote the other party in alternatively. It wasn't her turn after all.

All that said, the Republic was saved by the election of Trump. Yeah their will be bumps in the road but at least the bridge won't fall down. Hillary could not be allowed to nominate the SCOTUS justices. For no other reason, in my opinion, did Hillary lose the election. God Bless the voters of our great nation for getting it.

How dumb does Hillary and her campaign have to be not see what was coming? Bernie won a ton of states...that should have told them they were in trouble. Plus, Trump's rallies were enormous and he was getting all the press.

Of course they did, why the fuck wouldn't they? After all the Democrats had already had one McGovern Landslide loss and weren't about to give the nod to McGovern 2.0.

In any case it's a fairly safe bet that Hillary would have beaten Bernie even without DNC attempts to tip the scale in her favor.

This is just a case of Democrats offering up (yet another) lame excuse as to why Trump, who spent just over half of what Hillary did, still managed to beat them, they don't get the fact that people are sick and tired of gigantic, corrupt, intrusive and un-affordable government droning on about social justice and the need to atone for their successes.

This election was just another example of Hillary making stupid decisions. We should all be glad she lost.

I don't think it's about intelligence. Look at the last paragraph. I think it was about the elitism that so many people have enough of.
