Biden admin turns down OH request for toxic disaster assistance

No, everyone doesn't want to go to the US. I can't imagine anything much worse since the Trump debacle buggered your country.

They don't? Then how do you explain we are getting illegals from over 110 different countries? We were the closest one? No, they take boats and flights to Mexico for just a chance to get in. Under this failed administration, 7 million have entered in the last two years alone.

You can't imagine anything worse than coming here, yet you are from another country debating our politics. Don't they have any political forums in your country?

Iggy.

You're too stupid to listen to.

Bye.

You seem to be very limited, that would explain why you are so easily suckered by Trump and these paid liars.

We live in a civilised country so we don't need guns here. BTW we have more freedom than Americans will ever have.

That's because you probably live in a basically single race/ culture society. We don't. We need our guns because of our extreme diversity. over 50% of all our murders are committed by just 7% of our population, and those are black males. You don't have that in your country, do you?

You'd have to be desperate to want to go to such a backward country as the US. No one I know wants to go to the US, they value their freedom and democracy too much.

Freedom? You mean like locking down their citizens?
Yes to defeat a deadly virus. We don't have fruit fly here, but when one is found in a trap near a port the entire suburb is shut down tight. The quarantine people come on your property and tell you what's you are not going to do. The lockdown was nothing in comparison, so what's wrong with that?

My youngest is doing a report on historically bad decisions and he picked the Three Mile Island disaster. As one of his sources, we watched Meltdown: Three Mile Island, a documentary on Netflix. Interested now in all things nuclear disaster, we are watching Chernobyl, a 2019 miniseries about that disaster on HBOMax. We are all struck by the parallels to this Ohio disaster in how the government response is criminally negligent. Again, people will die and get sick and pay for decades because of some weird priorities that we cannot understand. There is something evil always lurking around a government. The opportunity for power and riches attracts bad people and corrupts weak people. The Framers knew this, as they were all massive students of history, and that is why they were so paranoid about it.

What's wrong with that is that it's not freedom, it's government controlling your actions.

Our country is divided into states. We had leftist states that implemented all these measures you speak of, and we had states that didn't. The states that had these near lock down measures had no better results than states that didn't, and in some cases better results.

You can't defeat a virus because a virus is going to do what it's going to do. It's airborne and can't be controlled by masks.

The worst case of covid in my family was a person that was a nurse at a hospital. He took every precaution anybody could take including wearing an N-95 mask from the time he entered the hospital until the time he left. He still caught it. He spent months out of work, suffered dearly, was on oxygen for several months during that time. Same with my sister who also works at a hospital. She didn't suffer nearly the results but again, wore the best mask possible. She didn't even deal with patients. She worked in her office.

So, explain MS and AL then.

I'm sure they're in process, but things take time.
