I honestly do not see any SIGNIFICANT difference between the two parties. There are minor policy differences, but not enough to make me back the Republicans out of hand.

I had hoped Trump might be able to change that. Apparently not.

I enjoyed COVID. I got to work full-time from home. I found a number of options to limit the time I spent around other people (I don’t like people). I never got the shots. It was a great time for me.

Not really. It's what I call my Ray from Cleveland's raccoon theory.

You see a raccoon digging in your garbage can. In sympathy, you go into the house to fetch that meaty ham bone you were going to throw away at the end of the week anyway. You give it to the raccoon and the animal eats in delight. Now give it about 10 or 20 seconds and try taking that ham bone away from him.

Politicians, especially on the left are well aware of my raccoon theory. We humans are the same way. Once you give us something, it automatically becomes our property. And no politician would dare to try and take it away from us, at least not without chancing getting their hand chewed up.

Don't blame Republicans for not committing political suicide for something the Democrats made.

Well FYI with democrats they use it to secure votes. It doesn't need to be ended just revamped. No making a living off of welfare. Social security for those who paid into it.

He's not alone. There are a lot of Americans that feel if a politician doesn't perform 100% to their satisfaction, it's not worth voting for them to stop the other side from making things worse.

As for myself, finding the perfect politician is like finding the perfect woman (or mate) or that perfect job. It doesn't exist except for a few people. Since it doesn't exist, the best you can do is get as close as you can.

When issues are being discussed like the border, inflation, interest rates, labor shortage, I feel no guilt because as a voter, I did everything possible to make sure this didn't happen. Does that mean I thought Trump was my perfect politician? Not at all. There are several things he didn't do and several things he could have done I would have liked to see. But I thank God and voters like me for not getting into a covid crisis with somebody like Hillary leading the charge.

I don’t suggest repayment. Consider it a tax on the stupidity of paying into an illegal, immoral and unconstitutional program for all those years.
