Extending the withdrawal date has nothing to do with Trump releasing 100s of terrorists and withdrawing troops to a mere few thousand...while also ordering the removal of all troops 4 days before Biden was sworn in.

Trump left the weapons and materials there while withdrawing all but a token force that had no chance of taking care of the equipment before May, as Trump had negotiated...or even the November extension Biden gave.
