'Big nothing burger': Fani Willis hearing failed to turn up evidence of corruption

Liberals might of had a point before she took the stand. Once she mentioned cash, she opened a whole new can of worms. Not to mention her continuous unprofessional outbursts. She is clearly unfit for this case.

No, facts are more important. It doesn't matter that the Georgia GOP doesn't like Fani Willis. If they try and fuck around with her prosecution they're going to find out in the form of obstruction of justice charges. She's already put them on notice.
I dont think you can deny the fact that she is A Black and B female.
What else is needed by maga ?

Not at all, not at all. She easily defended herself, and sent your argument to the waste basket.

The 'fake allegations' by MAGA do not affect Trump's prosecution.

As a suspected crime boss, the gets the full attention of the law.

Open your eyes. She said she used cash she can't prove she had. The whole thing looks suspect now. Not to mention she claimed the cash was from her campaign, which leaves questions about campaign finance laws. Her testimony was a disaster.

From the article....

"MSNBC's Joyce Vance argued on Friday that the first day of hearings into Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis turned up no evidence that should force her off the Georgia election interference case.

....

Ultimately, at the the end of the day yesterday, it was just a big nothing burger," Vance added. "There was nothing to show that Fani Willis and Nathan Wade had the financial conflict of interest that Georgia law recognizes, something akin to a prosecutor who only gets paid if they win a case. That's the classic case in Georgia law where there is a conflict that results in disqualification. That wasn't there yesterday in the courtroom."

Like Fani said in her testimony, these people are trying to put her on trial when she's not on trial, Trump's on trial.

She handed them their asses.

Next.....!!!!

Yes, Fanni Willis hasn't come up with any evidence of corruption against Trump. Glad you agree.

First, the burden of proof is on the defense. It doesn't matter that it looks suspicious to you, they have to prove impropriety, which they didn't. Secondly, she testified she used her own money, 50 grand worth, to fund her own campaign. It was her money. She took out 50 grand of her own money and kept some as cash. That isn't illegal. Thirdly, despite losing that campaign she went on to win the next one and testified to making over $200 grand a year for not much work, on top of what she was making in private practice at the time. Fani Willis is a wealthy woman. The argument that she benefitted from $10 grand, at the most, of travel expenses and hotel stays from a man she was dating who took a pay cut to work for the county isn't a serious legal argument. It makes for sensational MAGAts news but not sound legal theory.

It's up to the judge as your dimwitted DA pointed out, it's not a trial. Nor does any of that stop investigations into her finances, which she opened up due to her own sworn testimony. She's already under investigation by the legislature, this just gives them more to look at.

There is no criminal investigation into Fani Willis, only a political one.

One has nothing to do with the other. Fanni it seems has quite the potential criminal record all of her own long before Trump became an issue.
"Potential" criminal record?
It probably would have stayed buried If not for the random political persecution she decided to become a part of.

If the governor of the state who absolutely despises Trump.... Is leading an investigative effort to look into her past dealings and possible abuse of public money I would say there's something to worry about.
That is something the state could look into.
Georgia can continue just fine with another prosecutor but if they don't replace her I think the more or less rolling over on the prosecution. Remember reputation is just as important and legal dealing as facts are.
Coming from the defendant's defendant, it's laughable.
It's like Trump, leading a church congregation on morals.
What is very sensitive to how what is very sensitive to how what is very sensitive to how The court is very sensitive to appearances.
Like it or not This particular appearance looks pretty bad.
Trump's appearance looks worse.
