But I DO know that Mr. B. -- of course -- had to turn down the offer.

If he had accepted it, he would have been snubbed by his players and he would have lost his job.

He had to do what was best for him & his family, including mentioning "social justice," a term that everyone in 2021 HAD BETTER quickly add to one's vocabulary and manage to slip into every conversation.
