ONe of the things anti gun extremists have said when the states started passing concealed carry laws was that the police would be in greater danger because nut job concealed carriers would just start shooting at every traffic stop over a speeding violation….
That has not happened…in fact…studies show that concealed carry permit holders are more law abiding than your average citizen and even sworn police officers.
The truth…normal people with guns are not dangerous. They are responsible and do their best to own and carry guns safely and legally…
Case in point……
On Dan and Amy today, a local chicago radio show, they interviewed a black American, concealed carry permit holder who posted a recent stop by police on the internet…..on that video…he is black, he has a concealed gun and when the officers approach him………..nothing happened.
He said the first thing the officers did was ask if he was armed, he said yes and that he had a permit but it was in his wallet next to his pistol…..They acknowledged this and said for safety reasons they were going to disarm him……they did, he showed his permit, they sorted out the traffic event and thanked him for his cooperation….
And they went on their merry ways……
No shoot out…..no racism……
This shows a few things…gun grabbers are wrong about armed Americans and police interactions…..this shows that you don't need to license gun owners…..this entire encounter could have gone the exact same way without the gun owner having a license or permit….
How?
The officer simply asks the same question…are you armed? Then you respond the same way…..but you don't have to say you have a license, you just say I am legally able to carry the weapon….the officer then politely disarms you for safety, his and yours, and then runs you for felonies and warrants….
If you come back negative on both, you go on your merry way…..if not…you get arrested….
So no need to license gun owners….
