Black cop kills white, unarmed white woman on 1/6 and is rewarded with a promotion

That's not a relevant point.

Whether someone is armed is only a part of the picture.
If it's part of the picture then it's a relevant point.

The entire premise of the OP was that an unarmed black man dies in white officer custody and the officer gets twenty plus years in prison while an unarmed white woman gets shot and killed by a black officer and he gets promoted.

One could argue that in Babbitt's case the officer was justified. However, that raises a whole host of questions and observations. Two of which are:

1.) There were hundreds of people there that day trying to get into the building. Why did he only shoot Babbitt? If you won't or can't shoot all of them, why shoot any of them?

2.) You and I and everyone else in this discussion knows damn well that if the races of the officer and Babbitt had been reversed, people would have been screaming about Babbitt being unarmed.

Here is a Great question
Who is more responsible for their own death?
Babbit or Floyd?

We've all seen several pictures of barricaded doors with armed men pointing directly at the rioters. Do you think they would have shot if the rioters had tried to bust down the barricade?

Babbitt was the tip of the Rioters spear and it got blunted.......live. It's really a shame too. I blame the Trumpybear of course. He is the reason she was there. If it wasn't for Lord Trumpqua she wouldn't have invaded the Capitol that day. Terrible just thinking about it. "The Don" wants to blame the officer who did his duty when he was the one who could have called it all off with one or two tweets. What a catastrophe that guys is.......

If I'm not mistaken, I think they did knock down the barricade.

Nope. Trump was Babbitt's reason for being in D.C. but Trump had nothing to do with Babbitt's actions at the Capital. Her actions were hers and hers alone.

Nope. Trump never told anyone to break into the Capital building nor did he even imply that they should.

Trump can be criticized for not acting sooner but in reality, I doubt it would have mattered. These people were angry and had their back hairs up. Emotions were high and the front of the Capital was bedlam. No one was on Twitter or even the internet.

He told them to stop eventually… and they did.. almost immediately

Yes, I’m talking about Ashli Babitt.

In 2020, a white cop kills an unarmed black man - one who was a hard-core violent criminal and once held a knife to a pregnant woman’s belly, and was hopped up on fentanyl. The cop was sent to prison for 30 years, and the dead thug was canonized with a funeral fit for a head of state, memorial statues, and moments of silences at stores throughout the nation.

In January 2021, a black cop shoots an unarmed white woman in cold blood - one who was a military veteran who had fought for her country - for trespassing in the Capitol. The cop was not only NOT charged, but he now is getting promoted.

Why is the black thug’s life worth more, and thus resulting in decades of prison for his killer, when the white veteran’s wasn’t even worth a trial (and whose killer gets rewarded with a promotion?

1) Black thug: part of the black protected class, and who was killed by whitey

2) White veteran: a Trump supporter, part of the demonized class, and who was killed by a member of the black protected class

Insurrectionist are not "innocent people".

Sorry. She was killed attacking the US government. You kids should be grateful she was the only one.

Ashley Babbitt was a rioter who didn’t comply with orders to stop breaking into a federal building. She had to be killed.

No, there was no reason to murder Ashlie by shooting her in the throat at 10' away.
Bryd could easily just have pushed her back out the window she was trying to crawl through.
She had no weapon and there was no one at risk in the Speaker's Hallway.

She was climbing through a smashed in window that was part of a barricade protecting the members of our government.

She did this with guns pointed at her wearing a back pack ignoring commands to stop....looking for all the world like a suicide bomber leading a mob

She got what she deserved and you fuckers are insane

It is a lie to claim any members of congress remained.
The cops in front of the barricade would not have stepped aside unless all members had left.
She could not possibly have seen Byrds gun pointed at her, since he was 90 degrees to her left.
Bryd never said a word, much less any command to stop.

It is impossible to argue that Bryd was justified in shooting Ashlie, because just 2 cops had prevented anyone from crossing the barricaded door for hours.
No one was threatening those 2 cops.
But then suddenly the cops simply stepped aside.
They stayed within 10', but no longer prevented access to the broken out window.
So the only logical explanation is that all the congressmen had left by then, and the cops were order to stand down.

And the 2nd point to notice is that once Ashlie was shot, it all was over.
All the protestors started leaving at that point.
So then the police could have ended the whole protest at any time, just by shooting a round into the floor.

We also then saw the machinegun weilding cops held in reserve in the basement.
So then clearly there never was any sort of risk to any member of congress.

She got what she deserved. You attack a police barricade protecting the whole of the US government you get one on the face.

Tough shit for Ashes

That slimey criminal bitch got exactly what she deserved.

Republicans are a total joke, they riot and attack cops based on total lies, then cry about the consequences of their stupid decisions in life.

Republicans always try to plat victim, this is proof.

Republicans have clearly lost all morals and values and have been reduced to playing victim over everything in life.

Holy crap do you have it exactly backwards. Democrats are always crying about how things aren’t “fair”. Seriously, where have you been?
