While I tend to agree with your sentiment; I find that it's equally important to be cognizant of the very real changes in society. We are increasingly becoming more far removed from the old values of love thy neighbor as ourselves. And crimes of opportunity, are much more prevalent than they used to be. Not to mention set ups like the case in this story. It's important that people make correct judgments when it comes to risk assessment. Your life can literally depend on it.
