Exactly.Who the fuck doesn't like chicken and watermelon?
Jesus, it's a southern thing. Not a black thing. Chicken, watermelon, biscuits and gravy, it's all southern type common foods.
I worked at a hotel and we had a southern Baptist group in of like 500 people, all black and they ordered what they wanted for the dinners weeks in advance. Big shocker it was fried chicken and watermelon and bbq every damn night and they loved it, and another big shocker is I'm white and I loved it also. It's not racist to like a food, especially one everyone loves. Even Asians love watermelon.
Blacks need to shut the fuck up or leave the country if they hate it so bad.
Exactly.
Southern American food has been co-opted by neosegregationist blacks and labeled as ‘soul food’. Insulated northern whitebreads have no clue.
Probably cause it shows just how evil this nation has been. It's a holiday for idiots. What's new?
If it's a stupid holiday, so is July 4th.FFS Blacks who celebrate this stupid "holiday" serve watermelon, and the usual foods one might expect.

The Traditional Foods of Juneteenth Carry a Rich History
The enslaved brought customs from Africa to the U.S. that we still see today.www.oprahdaily.com
I do believe watermelon and okra came from Africa but just like every other aspect of the American quilt, they are now part of American culture. No American owns possession of these foods because of skin color. It's just a regional thing really. I'm from Kentucky which is border line south I guess and everyone I ever met around here even as a kid white or black likes watermelon. It's a delicious snack. Hell we all love fried chicken also and bbq, and biscuits, and gravy.
This is as stupid as saying it's racist to service steamed rice to Asians or tacos to Mexicans. Everyone likes rice and tacos, including them because they came up with the shit.
I like watermelon-----July 4 is a watermelon holidayIf it's a stupid holiday, so is July 4th.
That's hilarious. I sincerely doubt there was a racist intent, and I'm sure some black folks do eat watermelon on Juneteenth, but woops.https://www.today.com/food/news/childrens-museum-criticized-juneteenth-watermelon-salad-rcna32036
last year they were mad at some place for serving chicken. this holiday is more hassle then it is worth. ugh!
a true story>>> I grew up in a very WASP town---That's hilarious. I sincerely doubt there was a racist intent, and I'm sure some black folks do eat watermelon on Juneteenth, but woops.

Slavery, Jim Crow segregation, racism, police brutality and discrimination. If that is what you call being pampered, you can keep that shit.Groups that try to kiss up to our nation's most pampered minority group soon find out that they are d*mn*d if they do and d*mn*d if they don't.
I bet your dumb ass doesn't go to work on June 20.What an ignorant mook you are.

Are you working on June 20?Did you want to add something to the discussion? No, I guess not.
