NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – A helicopter has crashed into a building in Midtown, the FDNY said.

Numerous emergency responders are on the scene at 51st Street between Sixth and Seventh Avenue

At least one building in the area was evacuated.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo is on the scene.

They were just stating at that height it is socked in. The question is why would anyone be flying in such weather?

Probably the pilot. It still sucks, but I imagine helicopter crashes don't kill many people aside from the people on them.

I can't tell you how many times I've had a flight delayed because they won't try to land in fog. Good question.
