If the GOP votes against force in Syria, then it CANNOT turn around and authorize using force on Iran over Iran's supposed nuclear weapons program.

If we cannot bomb Syria over their actual use of actual WMD, then Iran cannot be bombed over them maybe having, or being near having, WMD.

And for both Syria and Iran, it's illegal to attack them unless in self defense. Neither country has attacked the US, nor will they.

yes, they can. and, depending on the circumstances, should.

Iran poses a threat to OUR security. Syria - does not.

But don't be afraid, under obama, Iran is safe as theocratic totalitarian regime because obama sympathizes exactly with those - otherwise we would support secular Iranian revolution 2 years ago.
