Allot, but republicans are to blame just as much as democrats. Dick Perry, when he ran Texas talked out of two sides of his mouth. While he said he was cracking down on ileagles he was also giving them incentives to come to texas. Greg Abbot is no better. Sadly nothing short of one of Nancy Pelosi's grand children getting killed by an ileagle or a Trump kid will bring any real change. I have zero faith in either party on this issue as both parties want the ileagle a here.
