With the hoops companies have to go through in California to set up shop, why on earth would you want to be headquartered here ?

The war on men continues.

California could become first state to require women in boardrooms

A controversial bill requiring that publicly traded California companies include women on their boards of directors heads to the Assembly floor this week.

SB826, which is opposed by many business groups, would make California the first state with such a mandate.

State Sen. Hannah-Beth Jackson, D-Santa Barbara, the bill’s author, said it’s important for businesses to have a perspective from women — and time to “blow that glass ceiling up.”

The goal of this law is not to get more women on boards of directors. The goal is to force more companies out of state.

I don't see any problems with it. We need someone to serve coffee.

Well having them push in a trolly with the coffee and pastries would count as "having" them in the boardroom. Of course "having" has other undertones in certain context.........

But it's Californians (other than the elite) wot's getting screwed.

What a dumbass law they are pushing.

If a woman is qualified, no sweat.

If she's not then she shouldn't be there unless she's serving the coffee.

Holy coffee stereotyping, Batman!

Requiring women to be seriously considered, something like the Rooney rule in the NFL, I could maybe understand. Simply requiring women be on the boards, however, is ridiculous.

why do women need that form of affirmative action?

it seems like they can't defend their policies.

Just another step towards full blown socialism when California starts taking over companies..

And that's when the Electorial college will never go away.
