California Moves Toward Zero-Down-Payment Mortgages for Illegal Immigrants

Yep it will. After the invaders turn the homes into derelicts, the bottom will fall out of THOSE homes, even as the prices for decent homes goes up. Probably more since the market will have contracted.

If you don't believe me, you have never been in a home formerly occupied by an invader and "guests".
They aren't accustomed to basic codes that are exercised in the US and not in most of the rest of the world.

This is right down the alley of the Dimocrat party. Encourage more to flood right in.

They want rural folks replaced by inner-city migrants that will be easily addicted to their government programs.

Are we getting the message yet kiddos? Disgusting.

ACalifornia bill that would aid undocumented migrants on the path to home ownership has advanced in the state's legislature.

Democrats on the California Senate Appropriations Committee last week unanimously approved AB 1840, a bill that would amend the California Dream for All Shared Appreciation Loan program by preventing it from denying prospective homeowners based on their immigration status.

The program was launched in 2023 and gives first-time homebuyers in the Golden State a loan of up to 20 percent of the home's purchase price to be used as a down payment.

More From Newsweek Vault: How to Get a Mortgage With No Money Down

The bill will effectively allow migrants to buy homes without having to save for years to fund a down payment, which is almost always required by financial firms providing mortgages...........................................................................................................................

It's called the Equal Protection Clause in the Constitution.

We already have those they are called farmers and they suck up billions in free dough.

We already see such mortgages offered to Americans.

They are more reasonable to offer, in such a rising price environment. A mortgage that started at 100% LTV 5 years ago may be at 66% LTV, now.

How do you figure? Homes are still high priced. LTV is still going to be out of whack if you borrow 100% of the homes price.

Your LTV may look good if you bought a house a few years ago and got lucky on the uptick of home prices, but this article is talking about future sales.

Also, this program and the $25,000 down and $400/month assistance that Harris is proposing will hurt some home buyers. When you increase the number of home buyers, demand goes up and that means home prices will rise. If you are not one of those who qualifies for one of these programs, this means homes may end up being too expensive expensive for you to buy

Besides..illegals? Really? How do we even consider selling a home to an illegal? I mean, they break our immigration law getting here, then we give the drivers licenses, then we start allowing them to vote in local elections, we give them government assistance, and benefits, now we’re going to help them take up residence?

Tell us you’re pro open borders without saying you’re pro open borders.

The whole idea is to get them to settle down buy products and pay taxes.

The home may increase 50% in value in 5 years.

Following? Yes, no?
“May”

Or the housing market could stabilize and they could be stuck with an extremely high LTV for the next 15 years.

Also, banks don’t approve loans based on what “may” happen.

Also, how will programs like this affect the market for people who don’t qualify for those programs. It could put buying a home out of reach for everyone else.

And, once again, why are we giving benefits to non citizens when we have veterans living in the streets?
