It's starting, folks. The shit is about to hit the fan for the Obama administration. Things are going to get real ugly when the IRS is the target of dozens of lawsuits.

As Tea Party groups stage successful rallies at Internal Revenue Service offices nationwide, one California organization is staging a frontal assault on this government behemoth.

One of the largest and most active Tea Party groups in the nation is filing the first of what is expected to be many lawsuits against the government for allegedly singling out conservative organizations.

The NorCal Tea Party Patriots, based in northern California, claim the IRS violated its rights when it either held up or rejected its applications for tax-exempt status….

The NorCal lawsuit was filed Monday in the U.S. District Court of Cincinnati. The suit seeks group status for “all conservative and libertarian groups targeted for additional scrutiny” between March 2010 and May 2013. It’s also seeking unspecified money damages for the alleged violation of their constitutional rights and the costs associated with trying to comply with the IRS demands.

The lawsuit is being backed by Citizens for Self-Governance, a group launched by Tea Party Patriots co-founder Mark Meckler.

They were required to fill out a questionaire. Can't wait to see their damages

Could be.......HUNDREDS $$$$$

They were denied tax-exempt status for an extended period of time, costing the group millions in uncollected donations. It's a solid premise, one used by the IRS to calculate taxes due on disallowed deductions.

Tea Party CPACS are trying not to pay taxes and keep the anonymity of their doners - this is blatantly obvious - even though they are nothing more than political groups. They don't do anything to help people (social outreach). They should have been targeted. So the IRS is being sued for doing its job???

This tends to happen when you abuse the power of your office I suspect this won't be the last one.

Oh Boy! The shit will hit the fan!

There sure is a lot of shit on that fan, nutters. You've been saying that for nearly 5 years now.

No Tea Party groups were prevented from collecting donations while they waited for approval.

Doing their job, I'm sure, would include a red flag over tax forms using the key words like "MoveOn", "Occupy WallStreet", "Americans United", and "GLAD", right?

Of course, unless those promote social justice / social outreach (like Occupy Wall Street, GLAD and MoveOn). Double smack.

You know as well as I do that CPACs are using a vague loophole that should't even be there. The tea party is strictly a political slush fund. No tax exemption should be allowed for any political slush funds. And all donors should be made public.
