I did not realize that the Russians had passed laws similar to South Africa's apartheid laws, which impose upon Gays, things like...

1. requiring every Russian to identify his-or-her sexual orientation, and to have that confirmed (and even overridden) by government officials, with results included on ID Cards.

2. carry Government Passes unique to Gays, giving them permission to travel, etc.

3. limiting the trades and vocations and work-places in which Gays are allowed to work.

4. forcing Gays into segregated blocks of land and segregated housing on that land.

5. limiting the ability of Gays to purchase property and requiring them to rent, instead.

6. segregating Gays into separate public premises, vehicles and services.

7. segregating Gays into separate schools and universities.
