On what basis should individual athletes be disqualified? Because gays don't like the policies of their country. Someone has to be punished, even if it's someone innocent. How about we just disqualify all the gay athletes?

If anything, any result whatsoever, it will result in public opinion turning against gays even more than it already is. Takai has just justified every law on prohibiting gay propaganda that there is or ever was.
