Ummm...a clarification. While they don't lose VA Medical benefits technically, usually the incarcerating State becomes the Single-Payee. That's if they are incarcerated. If free..they never lose the benefits.

Some states tax the incoming prisoner's pension--once again though..if you're free, unless the R's cut entitlements, you're entitled to your money.
