My favorite especially with his pianoI'd forgotten what an extraordinary songwriter he was.
So refreshing close your eyes...

That's Rick Wakeman of Yes on piano. They were good buddies back then.

That's my personal fav by CStevens and can play an amateurish version of it on the piano, but nothing even comparable to that guy....true natural talent indeed. Lovely.
I have to also mention "The Boy With The Moon and Star on his Head", from his album, Catch Bull At Four. Exquisite song from an exquisite album."Morning Has Broken" is my favorite by Cat Stevens. He's known now as Yusuf Islam.
Too bad he turned out to be an asshole.
Exactly. He was misquoted about his feelings about writer Salmon Rushdie. He went along with the Islamic scripture, agreeing that Rushdie should be executed for his anti-Islamic beliefs. The problem is that Mr. Stevens never really said that. I've seen some fairly recent footage of Cat (Yusuf), from the last ten years. He's extremely likeable and humble. He recently re-recorded the album, Tea for The Tillerman. He still sounds good.Too bad he turned out to be an asshole.
Since when?
