CBO: Poor Americans would lose billions under GOP tax plan

Soo Moon Bat, stop forcing people to get health insurance is the same as depriving people of medical insurance? LOL! Fuck subsidies. It is your responsibility to pay your own health care bill.

You say this but the minute you run up a high medical bill, suddenly you give a shit about insurance. Fuck you, pal.

Nobody should be forced to buy health insurance if they don't want it. That SCOTUS ruling was yet another bastardization of our Constitution

Well, here's the thing. We have to pay for you moochers and layabouts that don't get insurance, then turn up at the ER to treat chronic conditions. So we're paying for it anyway. Question is do you want to pay less now or more later? Because those are your only choices.

Those really are the only choices. Hospitals raise procedure prices to pay for freeloaders. Insurers in turn raise them on their paying customers. I don't understand why "conservatives" are suddenly on the side of freeloaders or hospitals taking huge losses.

I actually had a clown in another forum suggest that their churches would raise 150k or so for a members heart bypass. Just knock on the door of their church - or better yet, DIE QUICKLY.

Conservatives simply do not understand what health insurance is, what insurance companies do, and how any of it relates to health care delivery.

Well, trickle-down failed - so Republicans will now try "trickle-UP"

This is largely because the legislation would eliminate the individual mandate, which requires nearly all Americans to get health insurance or pay a penalty. This would result in 13 million fewer people having coverage in 2027, the CBO found.

Many of the folks who would forgo coverage would have lower or moderate incomes and would have qualified for Medicaid or federal help paying their premiums or out-of-pocket health expenses, CBO found.

Those earning less than $40,000 a year would be worse off in 2025, when the bill's provisions would mostly be in effect, according to the report released Sunday. On the flip side, those with higher incomes would enjoy tax breaks.

I think that was one of the failings of Obamacare. But ONLY because:

The dems were determined to create another entitlement to go along with medicare. No goper could buy in to that. That's why it was a partisan bill. There was no compromise to be had.

Previously, gopers had argued that the gummit could raise revenue, possibly along similar lines to Obamacare taxes, and use it for tax credits for uninsured citizens to buy insurance (or even HC directly from providers). The gop initially came up with the idea of the mandate.

But they could have had a bill that provided if you get sick, and don't have HC insurance despite being given a tax credit, you absolutely may not buy in, so your choices would be: 1) pay for cancer care yourself (no way to afford that) 2) or meet the family poverty lines for Medicaid. And that would mean your family paid until they reached poverty level, 3) or a third option of you legally removed yourself from your family which is what many adult permanently disabled people end up having to do now.

Or, since private insurance companies are parasites who do nothing to improve or enhance health care delivery, abolish them completely and have a single payer that can use its leverage to negotiate for cheaper prices. Like what Medicare should be doing with prescription drugs but were prohibited from doing so by the Conservatives' Medicare Part-D...which also increased costs by privatizing Medicare administration.

And pigs can fly. The dems never had the votes to do that.

Sounds like you're not in favor of paying for moochers.
Why are you a heartless bastard?

You can get plenty of people to sign up for expensive, taxpayer subsidized bad ideas..

Expensive? There are Obamacare plans with $0 monthly premiums now.

You're a fucking fraud.

Just look at wind and solar the last 8 years.......

No one said wind and solar would become cheap and more efficient overnight. But they have become cheaper and more efficient over the last 7 years. BTW - what happened to the economies of Texas, Oklahoma, and North Dakota? They all went in the shitter the minute the price per barrel dropped.

Expensive? There are Obamacare plans with $0 monthly premiums now.

Yes. Expensive. Just because someone else picks up the tab doesn't make it free ya fucktard.

So this post belies the fact that you don't know what health insurance is, what insurance companies actually do, and how it relates to health care delivery.

You never have and you never will.

Did he invent it?

You said it was "unrelated" to Clinton. So you're making up and new standard on the fly that relation = invention. You do that simply because you're a propagandist who isn't comfortable enough in the facts to debate this topic.

Perfect example of a Conservative so divorced from reality, you're reduced to completely making shit up off the top of your head.

Obamacare isn't health insurance.

You said it was "unrelated" to Clinton.

We had awesome economic growth under Clinton.
A huge chunk of that growth was due to the Internet Boom which had nothing to do with Clinton.

Insurance companies fleeing Obamacare exchanges is a hint that even with government subsidies, the expensive, taxpayer subsidized bad idea is expensive.

So you said it was "unrelated to Clinton", but didn't say how. You just set your own bullshit standard as the standard. Instead you just double-down on your bullshit because you just aren't well-versed on this topic.

They're not fleeing the exchanges. In fact, every single county in the country has at least one Obamacare plan available. Some of those plans have premiums that are $0 a month.

So just like your other post, you're not well-versed on this topic enough to talk intelligently about it.
