I think the article makes that assumption based on her one post, but I interpret that post differently. With no family support to speak of, she may have been after the money or may have been lured into it thinking she would get a different kind of attention than "fame".

I know a few people who have worked in the porn industry. They have different stories and different motivators. What is clear to me is that the industry is very good at manipulating at-risk people onto the porn sets regardless of what the vulnerability is.
