Christians: Worry About Love First, not Gay

Christians have been too tolerant for too long. It's time we drive the perverts back into the closet.

Does that include all people who don't align with the missionary position? Does that include removing nudity/sex from all television, movies, and music? Does that include banning pornography in the United States on the internet and elsewhere?

I mean exactly what I said.

Lol, I'm sure you did, but the problem was I was unclear (which is why I was asking you to elaborate).

Since you seem concerned about sexual sin (which is fine), are you also out to persuade your straight friends/family to use only missionary position (what's the purpose of using other positions if the relationship is only for procreation?), ban nudity/sex from TV, movies, music, and perhaps even institute a nationwide ban on pornography?

Aren't those things fostering bad sex habits? If I were as concerned about sexual sin as you are, I know I'd be gunning for those things too.

Love the sinner but hate his sins. sexual perverts confess and repent and GOD will forgive and wash you clean.==Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality, 10 or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people—none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God. 11 Some of you were once like that. But you were cleansed; you were made holy; you were made right with God by calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. 1 Corinthians 6:9-11

There is nothing to elaborate on. You ask if my statement included anything. It did not.

Why do you insist on presuming you know what my concerns are?

What has sexual position got to do with anything? Does it state in the Bible that there is only one position for procreation?

Where in the Bible does it specify that nudity in and of itself is a sin?

What is the Bible's position on porn?

Why do you insist on presuming you know what my concerns are?

You wanted to hide away all "sexual perverts", so I naturally concluded that "sexual sin" was a concern of yours. Is that not a fair assumption?

Nudity - in it of itself - is fine, but I specifically mentioned TV, movies, music where nudity and sex are used to entice and generate lustful thoughts. Have you ever heard of the old adage "sex sells"? You know exactly what type of nudity I'm talking about, lonestar. Please, playing "stupid" only wastes both of our time.

And are you really going to try to make a case that the Bible doesn't really have a position on porn? Do you seriously want to go down that route?

YOU KNOW WHAT GOD'S WORD SAYS ABOUT SEXUAL PERVERSION,you have no excuse, you dare to be judged!!!

Lol did you even read this post? That's exactly what I'm saying - the Bible are against these examples of sexual perversions. I agree with you.

Yes if sexual perverts means homosexuals.

Lustful thoughts are not necessarily a sinful act. You can have lustful thoughts for your wife, it's not a sin. But when you start lusting for another other than your wife then it is.

As I said, nudity is not a sin, the sin would begin with lustful thoughts if those thoughts are not of your betrothed. However the Bible does seem to have the view that nudity brings a certain amount of shame.

Does seeing a nude statue cause you to lust? If so then your committing a sin not the statue.

Then why is lust laid out specifically as one of the seven deadly sins? Is it OK to commit these sins so long as its with your wife, and be greedy/gluttonous/prideful, etc with her? I don't believe that's what the intention was, and I think you can have a healthy loving sex life with your wife without "lusting" over each other's bodies.

Lonestar - please. I know we disagree on the gay thing but can we stop playing games here. You're well aware that rampant, uncontrolled sex is being propagated by our mass media outlets (be it Miley Cyrus, or sleazy movies/situations on TV, songs about promiscuity sold to kids, etc). You can't acknowledge this?

And to insinuate that the Bible wouldn't have a negative stance on pornography - by most all standards - is absolutely ridiculous. Porn makes up at least 30% of internet traffic today.

I'm just trying to keep you consistent. If you're upset about sexual sin and believe gays fall into that category - fine - but how can you turn a blind eye to all of the other examples? Isn't that hypocritical?

You are all over the place.

I stated that homosexuals need to stay in the closet and then you proceed to bring up all these other sexual perversions instead of focusing on what was said.

Then I specifically said that lust isn't a sin if it's your wife is the object of your lust. Then you proceed to ask about greed, gluttony etc...

I made no such insinuation about porn and you damn well know it.

Do this. Pick a topic, stay on topic. Stop moving the goalpost or adding addition subjects to the topic.

But know this, everything that is a sin, is a sin and for all our sins we will be forgiven. No sin is greater or lesser than another. We are all sinners and that will never change as long as we are on this earth.

You stated "sexual perverts". That statement can include rapists, pedophiles, etc. If you would have said "homosexuals" that would have been the end of it.

What I said was that lust is a sin whether you're lusting over some random lady OR your wife. I don't think the Bible will tell you that "lust" is ok so long as your lusting over your wife's body. I might be wrong, though...

But know this, everything that is a sin, is a sin and for all our sins we will be forgiven. No sin is greater or lesser than another. We are all sinners and that will never change as long as we are on this earth.

Totally get it. Here me out, though:

If you believe that willingly committing sexual sins is bad, I'm fine with that, and if you believe that being gay is an expression of sexual sin, I can respect your opinion.

However what I can't respect is if you will call out a gay couple for their "sexual perversion" and not all of the TV shows, music, movies, stars in the media who also perpetuate what Christians refer to as sexual sin on a GRAND SCALE, right in front of our children. I realize we're all susceptible to it, and probably are guilty of a lot of this - cool. But to NOT pursue the end of the sexual perversion in mass media while actively trying to block gay marriage is hypocritical.

Most American Christians I would say are "OK" with porn being legal. They might not condone it, but a great majority won't actively pursue it's prohibition. Isn't that a problem that's also "right in front of our children"? If we're protecting society from perpetuating sexual sin (by blocking gay marriage) why does it stop there? Why isn't there a larger lobby to end porn, or to end sexual acts in movies, or to end promiscuous acts during the Super Bowl Halftime show?

I think consistency is important. Don't you?

YES!!! During the end time the Bible says that wickedness and evil will run rampant all over the world. We can already see our world being consumed by liberal leftist propaganda such as legalizing gay marriages, allowing homosexuals in the pulpit, increased sexual immorality, and other vices that are clearly forbidden in the Bible.
YOU KNOW WHAT GOD'S WORD SAYS ABOUT SEXUAL PERVERSION,you have no excuse, you dare to be judged!!!

But hasn't evil and sexual perversion always existed? Wasn't there a time thousands of years ago where kings could go door to door and sleep with anyone's wife? Rape children, and all of this was largely unchecked? Wasn't there a time when Americans owned PEOPLE, and could whip them whenever they felt it necessary, and could rape any of the women they owned? Wasn't there a time when if a member of an upper class didn't like you they could have you tortured? Drawn and quartered?

Wasn't there a time when we used to burn innocent teen girls who we thought of as "witches"? Wasn't there a time when Columbus sailed to Central America, and chopped off the hands of any of the natives who didn't bring him enough gold?

Why is "gay marriage" the "pinnacle of evil" when many worse things have happened in the thousands of years past throughout human history?

No I don't believe I ever stated "sexual perverts", I did use the word perverts referring to homosexuals. But please go look and tell me which post that I used that term.

You obviously don't understand the definition of "lust". Lust isn't exclusive to sexual desires.

Is murder a sin?

Would you call out a murderer?

What is the difference in calling out one sinner but not the other?

It's a good thing you don't speak for "most American Christians" because you would be wrong.

Porn cannot be fought against since it has been ruled "free speech". Christians know not to fight a battle they cannot win and they are content with letting God be the judge of those that engage in such a lifestyle.

Marriage is between one man and one woman. Homosexuals cannot get married. Now they can join in a civil union and call it marriage, but it's not marriage.
