Colin Powell Exposed!

Why are conservatives so afraid of Colin Powell?

Afraid???? What is there to be afraid of? You have this all backwards, Powell does not want to walk into the Black community as someone that did not support the first Black POTUS, he is the one in fear...

You can continue to tell yourself that it's the big bad Conservatives verses the kind hearted Liberals all you want, that plays well, especially in a entitlement mindset...

look republicans when you lie about what your party has done you jsut set it in stone for the people who KNOW your partys cheating history.

Why are conservatives so afraid of Colin Powell?

Afraid?
No.

Concerned?
Yes.

Why?
Best answered with a question....

Would you not be concerned if a prominant democrat with a solid reputation and clean of scandal came out and said that there is a dark vein of dishonesty in the democratic party as it pertains to their beleif in the long term success of their policies?

One would think if Colin Powell lied to the UN about WMDs in Iraq it's not much of a stretch he would lie for Obama.

That would require that you, and the rest of the clowns here, admit that Iraq had no WMD's.

Will you do that? Will they?

No WMD's were found.

The intelligence agencies of many countries concluded they existed.

Please explain how Bush and company were able to get the intelligence agencies of other countries to lie for them.

1. "O’Reilly Confronts Colin Powell In Wide-Ranging Interview On Obama And GOP’s Racial Politics

2. General Colin Powell has been very critical of the Republican party in recent years, and tonight he appeared on Bill O’Reilly‘s show to defend his criticisms of the GOP. O’Reilly grilled Powell on why he continues to support President Obama....made him defend his claim that the Republican party has a problem with minorities.

3. Powell explained to O’Reilly that he was put off in 2008 and 2012 by the economic plans proposed by the Republican campaigns.

4. ....saying that he is “troubled” by the rightward shift of the party and decided Obama was the “best choice” for the presidency.

5. O’Reilly pointed out that the economy under Obama has not been particularly kind to African-Americans. Powell said that overall the economy has improved,.....

6. ...suggesting that if they want to endear themselves to minorities, they cannot keep pushing for immigration and voter ID laws that adversely affect minority groups.

7. ...said he opposes “additional levels” of ID that would disenfranchise many people, while disputing the idea that voter fraud is a widespread problem.

8. O’Reilly more directly took on Powell over his claim that parts of the Republican party “still look down on minorities.” O’Reilly highlighted Powell’s criticisms of John Sununu and Sarah Palin for, respectively, calling Obama “lazy” and criticizing his “shuck and jive” on Benghazi. Powell clarified that he does not believe Sununu and Palin and racists,...."

What a fraud!!!

How so?

His big criticism was the phrases “lazy” and “shuck and jive” ....but, heck, 'they're not racists!'
Then why are you painting 'em as racist????
And paint the party that gave him his singular accomplishments as racist....just to make sure Obama won the election.

And "Powell said that overall the economy has improved,.." then fate comes around and bites him in the butt: "U.S. economy contracts for first time since recession"- GDP report: U.S. economy contracts in the fourth quarter of 2012 - Jan. 30, 2013

....and this before Obama's payroll tax kicks in!!
Facts skewer Powell!

"...pushing for immigration and voter ID laws..."
Studies have shown that photo ID has no effect on minority turnout. Another Democrat talking point from Powell.

And a former National Security Adviser opposed to knowing who was coming across the border???

What a charlatan.

And he knows folks know it, he knows why he should be ashamed!
That's why he went on the O'Reilly show.

Who wants to be the first to tell the real reason for turncoat-Powell's behavior?

the republican party has a decades old record of suppressing black and latino voters.

the vast majority of studies do indded who ID laws stop people from voting and adversely effect poor voters which hapopne to be of color.

Your the racist party and all the proof you really need to ascertain that is the FACT that people of color refuse to vote republican in very high numbers.

Lying abut the facts doesnt mean your not the racist party it just means your the reacits party and liars

“The findings of this analysis suggest that voter identification requirements, such as requiring non-photo and photo identification, have virtually no suppressive effect on reported voter turnout.

Controlling for factors that influence voter turn¬out, states with stricter voter identification laws largely do not have the claimed negative impact on voter turnout when compared to states with more lenient voter identification laws.

Based on the Eagleton Institute's findings, some members of the media have claimed that voter identification law suppress voter turnout, especially among minorities.[80] Their conclusion is unfounded. When statistically significant and negative relationships are found in our analysis, the effects are so small that the findings offer little policy significance.

More important, minority respondents in states that required photo identification are just as likely to report voting as are minority respondents from states that only required voters to say their name.”

GOP Memo Admits Plan Could 'Keep Black Vote Down' - Los Angeles Times

In an Aug. 13 memo the court made public Friday, Kris Wolfe, the Republican National Committee Midwest political director, wrote Lanny Griffith, the committee's Southern political director, and said of the Louisiana campaigning:

"I know this race is really important to you. I would guess that this program will eliminate at least 60-80,000 folks from the rolls. . . . If it's a close race . . . which I'm assuming it is, this could keep the black vote down considerably."

Unseals Document

She said in the memorandum that the program had been approved by Gregory Graves, deputy political director of the National Republican Senatorial Committee.

The document, called Exhibit 13, was unsealed by U.S. District Judge Dickinson R. Debevoise when lawyers for the Democratic National Committee said it was needed to question Wolfe.

Right from the top of the republican party they CHEAT.

Blacks KNOW this history because of black history classes.

WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court upheld Indiana’s voter-identification law on Monday, declaring that a requirement to produce photo identification is not unconstitutional and that the state has a “valid interest” in improving election procedures as well as deterring fraud.
“the court rejected arguments that Indiana’s law imposes unjustified burdens on people who are old, poor or members of minority groups and less likely to have driver’s licenses or other acceptable forms of identification.”

Lawyers who challenged the case cited the experience of one would-be Indiana voter, Valerie Williams, who was turned away from the polling place in November 2006 by officials who told her that a telephone bill, a Social Security letter with her address and an expired driver’s license were no longer sufficient.

“Of course, I threw a fit,” she said in a January interview with The New York Times, recalling how she cast a provisional ballot which was never counted. Ms. Williams, in her early 60’s, is black — and is a Republican.
