Communist rule in US "inevitable"

Shakles -

It's good to recognise the different between a temporary bail-out of an industry - and it's nationalisation.

Bailing-out an industry as a short-term means of keeping plants running is patently NOT communism.

It's also good to recognize when government goes well beyond it's Constitutional authority and forces out a CEO from his "private" business.

Where exactly in the United States Constitution can you show me, that "ALLOWS" the Federal Government the right to do this? Specifically the executive branch.

WHEN has there even been a President in our nation's history - who took control of a private company, forcing out it's CEO, placed government officials in a position to dictate government policy through that company, by allowing government officials (not business executives or the free market) to have its say of what products are to be made, and allow government to hold the reins of charting the future manufacturing direction of that business?

Also, I have not heard anything in the news - Has the Federal Government taken its hands COMPLETELY out of GM, and stopped it's imposing of Federal dollar incentives towards the purchase of manufactured Chevy Volts that the this administration wants?

McCarthy got a lot of commie traitors removed from sensitive government positions. I call that very positive.

Yeah, sure. And his lies about his military exploits, etc.?

What "lies" were those?

This poster shows staunch support for McC without having looked into his past. Look up his history. He lied about his war record, he lied about his wounds. He lied about his opponent for office. All he achieved was to install himself in a cozy position and stay on the gravy train by stomping on individual rights.

History also showed that he was mostly right about the people he accused. My bad, history should only be used to show things the left agrees with.

The left talking about "individual rights" is beyond funny and it's way into pathetic. McCarthy did nothing compared to incredible intrusion into our privacy committed on a constant basis by the IRS or in the name of the war on drugs. Our first amendment rights are crushed by campaign finance reform, our second rights are only on approval from the government who the Constitution was written to protect the people from. The right to property is crushed by the Supremes in New London who said government can confiscate property for it's own selfish interest. You can only do business, trade stocks, hire, fire with government approval. You can't even get your hair trimmed, nails trimmed or your livingroom decorated with an OK from government.

The list is endless. But hey, let's focus on the stain in the carpet when the house is on fire.

Well they did infliltrate the White House, State Department and Democrat Party

Infiltrate them? They run them.

If this were true, it would only show how inept they are. Capitalists run everything; look at the crisis and the bailouts.

Actually in capitalism when banks fail, they go under. To call bailouts "capitalism" is ridiculous. Capitalism is economic freedom. Government is the opposite.

So when the Washington administration helped business was that a form of communism?

Socialism. Government grew it's own power.

You might be confused between corporatism and capitalism. Capitalism is economic freedom. In no scenario is government control over markets and government picking winners and losers capitalism.

Tell us what the lies were. All you've done is insist he lied. You proved nothing.

The first tariff act was passed in July of 1789. Those early tariffs to help business were usually labeled, to help our infant industry. Our history has many examples of government helping business that was only the beginning.

To support someone so energetically, one should know about them from one's own research. But, for the research challenged:

Joseph McCarthy : Biography

"As one of his biographers has pointed out, his campaign posters pictured him in "full fighting gear, with an aviator's cap, and belt upon belt of machine gun ammunition wrapped around his bulky torso." He claimed he had completed thirty-two missions when in fact he had a desk job and only flew in training exercises."

"McCarthy's first years in the Senate were unimpressive. People also started coming forward claiming that he had lied about his war record. Another problem for McCarthy was that he was being investigated for tax offences and for taking bribes from the Pepsi-Cola Company. In May, 1950, afraid that he would be defeated in the next election, McCarthy held a meeting with some of his closest advisers and asked for suggestions on how he could retain his seat. Edmund Walsh, a Roman Catholics priest, came up with the idea that he should begin a campaign against communist subversives working in the Democratic administration.

Joseph McCarthy - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"It is well documented that McCarthy lied about his war record. Despite his automatic commission, he claimed to have enlisted as a "buck private". He flew twelve combat missions as a gunner-observer, earning the nickname of "Tail-Gunner Joe" in the course of one of these missions.[15]

"In his campaign, McCarthy attacked La Follette for not enlisting during the war, although La Follette had been 46 when Pearl Harbor was bombed. He also claimed La Follette had made huge profits from his investments while he, McCarthy, had been away fighting for his country. In fact, McCarthy had invested in the stock market himself during the war, netting a profit of $42,000 in 1943. La Follette's investments consisted of partial interest in a radio station, which earned him a profit of $47,000 over two years.[17]

The suggestion that La Follette had been guilty of war profiteering was deeply damaging, and McCarthy won the primary nomination 207,935 votes to 202,557. It was during this campaign that McCarthy started publicizing his war-time nickname "Tail-Gunner Joe", using the slogan, "Congress needs a tail-gunner". Arnold Beichman later stated that McCarthy "was elected to his first term in the Senate with support from the Communist-controlled United Electrical, Radio and Machine Workers, CIO", which preferred McCarthy to the anti-communist Robert M. La Follette.[18] In the general election against Democratic opponent Howard J. McMurray, McCarthy won 61.2% to Democrat McMurray's 37.3%, and thus joined Senator Wiley, whom he had challenged unsuccessfully two years earlier, in the Senate."

He later claimed 32 missions in order to qualify for a Distinguished Flying Cross, which he received in 1952. McCarthy publicized a letter of commendation which he claimed had been signed by his commanding officer and countersigned by Admiral Chester W. Nimitz, then Chief of Naval Operations. However, it was revealed that McCarthy had written this letter himself, in his capacity as intelligence officer. A "war wound" that McCarthy made the subject of varying stories involving airplane crashes or antiaircraft fire was in fact received aboard ship during a ceremony for sailors crossing the equator for the first time.[14][16]"

Such an admirable American hero! Wouldn't you want your son to emulate him?

Before the civil war, tariffs and excise taxes provided 100% of the revenue for the federal government. They were he only kind of taxes allowed by the Constitution. Given that circumstance, how would the government fund itself without "helping business?"

Joseph McCarthy : Biography

"Spartacus School?" You do realize that your source is a commie front organization, don't you? What do you suppose is the credibility of Communists who have unflattering things to say about McCarthy?

"As one of his biographers has pointed out, his campaign posters pictured him in "full fighting gear, with an aviator's cap, and belt upon belt of machine gun ammunition wrapped around his bulky torso." He claimed he had completed thirty-two missions when in fact he had a desk job and only flew in training exercises."

"One of his biographers pointed it out?" Would that be one of the commie propagandists from the Spartacus school who hated his guts? When you don't want to name your sources, that's probably because your audience will sneer in contempt. So what if he wore his combat uniform? As for the claim that he "only flew in training exercises." Your wikipedia source says he flew 12 combat missions. In the future you might pay attention to the fact that your sources contradict each other.

"McCarthy's first years in the Senate were unimpressive. People also started coming forward claiming that he had lied about his war record. That's a load of unsubstantiated hearsay. It's worthless. Try posting some actual evidence, not just a lot of shit that his enemies are trying to smear him with.

So it appears your other source lied when he said McCarthy never flew a combat mission.

"In his campaign, McCarthy attacked La Follette for not enlisting during the war, although La Follette had been 46 when Pearl Harbor was bombed. He also claimed La Follette had made huge profits from his investments while he, McCarthy, had been away fighting for his country. so where's the lie, He called Follette a "war profiteer?" That seems to be the 100% truth. Whether McCarthy himself made profits off the war is irrelevant since he didn't go running around attacking "war profiteers" as Follette did. Was the union that endorsed McCarthy run by communists? Where's the proof of that? Wouldn't such a claim be an example of McCarthyism? Even if it was controlled by communists, did Mccarthy know about it? The above is a blatant attempt to smear irrelevant shit on the man without any kind of proof.

He later claimed 32 missions in order to qualify for a Distinguished Flying Cross, which he received in 1952. "it was revealed?" By whom? Was it perhaps another one of those commie propagandists from the Spartacus School who hated his guts? Your source, Wikipedia, is hardly noted for credibility. So far yo have quoted some Communist propagandists and an online encyclopedia that anyone can edit as your sources. You'll have to excuse us if we find your evidence somewhat less than credible.

Such an admirable American hero! Wouldn't you want your son to emulate him?

There's nothing "honorable" about posting baseless smears by commies who hate America.

When did the Washington Administration help business?

The first tariff act was passed in July of 1789. Those early tariffs to help business were usually labeled, to help our infant industry. Our history has many examples of government helping business that was only the beginning.

Before the civil war, tariffs and excise taxes provided 100% of the revenue for the federal government. They were he only kind of taxes allowed by the Constitution. Given that circumstance, how would the government fund itself without "helping business?"

That was my point, government helped business with tariffs. Another source of income was the sale of public lands.

When you hear someone used the word "commie" they're usually characters in cold war movie, or idiots.

Obviously, my point went right over your head. There is no tax the federal government could legally impose that some turd couldn't use to accuse it of "helping business."
