Comparing Death Rates from Mass Public Shootings and Mass Public Violence in the US and Europe

Let's arm all the children, it's the only way to keep them safe.
No, let teachers carry with proper training. Schools being a gun free zone is stupid.
About 3% of those attending my church are concealed weapons carriers in leftard California. Someone comes in looking for trouble their efforts will be very short lived.

John Lott is paid by the NRA to provide pro-gun research. His research has not been peer reviewed. Furthermore, no other researchers have been able to duplicate his results. Worse for you, attempts to duplicate his results, have produced a result directly opposite Lott’s results.

Lott sued one publication for defamation for questioning his results and that suit was dismissed, saying that questioning his research wasn’t defamation.
Either rebut the data or take your personal attacks to the shithole with you.

The Broward County School has armed guards and protocols in place for dealing with threats. The school holds mass shooting drills. A teacher reported the shooter on site when he walked into the building.

Cruz was still able to shoot more than 30 people and get out of the school without being caught or stopped.

I just did. Your data was bought and paid for by the NRA and it’s false.

Think if that teacher had a pistol and proper training to take him out, instead of just reporting it. It could've stopped it, with only one death.

6 minutes while the shooter keeps shooting kids and the left want everyone defenseless and just call the cops that the left despise.

True, but that only makes us look worse:

Apples and oranges. Those a white countries with indigenous populations in the 90th percentile. If we factor in white demographic our rate of incidence is comparable to that of W. Europe. Even with high availability. That is why I noted the changing demography of W. Europe and the increased incidence of gun violence.
The Europeans must first reconcile their immigration issues.
The hard truth that no one wants to tackle is that the rates of gun violence in the black and Latin communities make of the lion share of the homicide statistics whereas the whites make up the lion share of suicide.
Look no further than Latin America where guns are heavily restricted. Look at their rates of gun violence. These are facts.

We are no longer a white nation and in many urban areas (where most crime occurs) white are now a minority.
bad comparison--
for good statistics --they have to be compared to like subjects
the European countries are more like the US than Latin America

A narrative busting thread using science, not emotions.
You statistics may be true but it’s worth noting that mass shootings make up a tiny portion of America’s firearm deaths, which totaled more than 33,000 in 2014. On average, there is more than one mass shooting for each day in America.

Another way to look at it:
gun_homicides_per_capita.jpg

And that isn't accurate either......our gun murder deaths...the only ones that count for this.....are concentrated in our democrat controlled cities......the places with the most strict gun control....if you compare apples to apples, states that are similar to European countries.....then the gun murder rates are the same or even less...
very pro-gun St Louis has a much higher rate than NYCity, and higher than Chicago and LA
very pro-gun Missouri has a higher murder rate than CA, NY and IL

this is all cross checked and confirmed by STL being higher on most dangerous cities lists--sometimes number 1
and STL population much, much less --and less dense

Read the linked article and you might learn something.
There's nothing to be gleaned from it.
If someone wants to kill themselves there are plenty of ways to go about it.
Jeremiah 5:21 - ‘Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not’

As someone who owns plenty of firearms I sure wouldnt use em to commit suicide.
If I decided to take that path, which is unlikely as I'm not a homo,I'd eat a bunch of pills down some Crown and park the truck in the garage.

Exactly ......

Moron......law abiding citizens who own and carry guns are not shooting other people in any of these cities, not even St. Louis...doofus....

What is the problem in St. Louis...the same problem as Baltimore, D.C. and Chicago...democrats who refuse to prosecute and lock up violent gun criminals...

Rise in Murders Has St. Louis Debating Why

Jennifer M. Joyce, the city’s circuit attorney, or prosecutor, an elected position, complains that in St. Louis, the illegal possession of a gun is too often “a crime without a consequence,” making it difficult to stop confrontation from turning lethal.

At the same time, deeper social roots of violence such as addiction and unemployment continue unchecked. And city officials also cite what they call a “Ferguson effect,” an increase in crime last year as police officers were diverted to control protests after a white officer shot and killed Michael Brown, an unarmed black teenager in the nearby suburb on Aug. 9.

-----------

Now, an overstretched department is forced to pick one neighborhood at a time to flood with officers. Last month, Chief Dotson even asked the state highway patrol if it could lend a dozen men to help watch downtown streets; the agency declined.
----
When the police discover a gun in a car with several passengers, including some with felony records, but no one admits to owning the gun, criminal charges are often impossible, Mr. Rosenfeld said.

In addition, according to a 2014 study by Mr. Rosenfeld and his colleagues, a majority of those who are convicted of illegally possessing a gun but not caught using it in a crime receive probation rather than jail time. Gun laws and enforcement are stiffer in many other cities.

 The Crime Prevention Research Center?

The Crime Prevention Research Center is a nonprofit founded in 2013 by John Lott, author of the book “More Guns, Less Crime.” He is best known as an advocate in the gun rights debate, particularly his arguments against restrictions on owning and carrying guns. Lott’s work has been called “junk science” as he has been accused of accepting funding from the National Rifle Association. Lott denies this claim. Any claims made on this website need to be fact checked with credible sources. (9/2/2016) Updated (4/5/2017)

Can you imagine how much lower America's crime rates would be without the Democrat Criminals and the Democrat Terrorist and the Democrat Gangs.
