Liberals aren't intolerant. The Rebel flag has been flown rebelliously on various public monuments for more than 140 years after the resounding defeat of the Confederacy. That is far too long but "liberls," and other people of good faith, bowed to the sympathies of descendants of a defeated enemy. Their tax dollars spent to support an enemy flag. Speaking fo forcing someone' will on others, I think it is time to stop forcing Americans citizens to have to view that confederate rag every time they visit the capitol.

What is really surprising is that you are so attached to an alleged Democrat relic after all your crying about Democratic plantations and KKK origins. Not at all. White people were slaves in the colonies too. The softer term is indentured servant. But yes, two of OUR most prominent statesmen were slave owners and that is a fact. Their monuments, though, were constructed under the auspices of the United States of America. There is no hatred tied to them and blacks and whites alike revere those monuments as valid American historical relics, dedicated to the memory of men who contributed something of import to this country. Confederate monuments contributed nothing to the present USA and should never rise to the same standing in the American psyche.
