Constitutional Scholar And Instructor: "Natural Born Citizen" Means Born Of Citizen Parents (Plural)

I'm pretty sure that Youtube posters do not qualify as Constitutional scholars.

So Ted Cruz is legally able to run for Prez.
Hey Grandma, this Constitutional Scholar is not a youtube poster. His name is Herb Titus. What are your qualifications in Constitutional Law compared to his?

Dr. Herb Titus taught constitutional law and common law for nearly 30 years at five different American Bar Association approved law schools. Prior to his academic career, he served as a Trial Attorney and a Special Assistant United States Attorney with the United States Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. and Kansas City, Missouri.

Mr. Titus holds the J.D. degree (cum laude) from Harvard and the B.S. degree in Political Science from the University of Oregon from which he graduated Phi Beta Kappa. He is an active member of the bar of Virginia and an inactive member of the bar of Oregon. He is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, the United States Court of Claims, and the United States Courts of Appeals for the Sixth, Seventh, Ninth, Tenth, District of Columbia and Federal Circuits. His constitutional practice has taken him into federal district courts in Alabama, Arizona, Georgia, Montana, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Wyoming, and the District of Columbia and the state courts of Idaho, Texas and North Dakota.

Herb Titus is welcome to be wrong.

Frankly no other 'Constitutiional Expert' agrees with him.

Not surprising since we all grew up knowing that anyone born in the United States is a natural born citizen.

False. Not even anchor babies are natural born citizens.

Titus can't even provide his legal basis for why those born here aren't natural born citizens. Or explain why, if having 2 US parents is the sole way of becoming a natural born citizen......that the founders created the 1790 Naturalization Act that EXTENDED natural born citizenship to those born to 2 US parents abroad. With those children merely 'considered' to be natural born citizens.

Keep running Stephen.

True- we all grew up knowing that anyone born in the United States could aspire to grow up and be elected President.

After all these years, Birthers have yet to find a civics text book that supports your made up claims.

I don't know why Titus came to his idiotic conclusion but when I grew up on the 1960's and 1970's my conservative civics teachers were very clear that birthright citizenship was one of the hallmarks of America's promise.

Unlike Europe- America has never judged a person based upon who their parents were.

Why do Birthers want to revert to the old aristocracy that we left Europe to escape?
