Tariffs are considered to be a tool the left uses since they inhibit unbridled capitalism in favor of whatever the state is trying to accomplish.

Trump of course has perverted the whole thing and so far we've had very little gain and a lot of hurt from the tariffs. Of course this is hurting China as well but our economies are intermingled. If they go into a continued recession we and most likely the rest of the world will be dragged in as well. Combined now with the effects of COVID-19 that may come around faster than anyone would have expected.

I think if you take the paper as a whole it is on the conservative side. You have to include the editorial section.

Editorials are opinion pieces. I discount them as such. But if you’re talking trade then the true and unbiased source would be the news section of the WSJ as I have illustrated.

The paper overall has a conservative bias reglardless of which sections you personally read or not.

we depend on china for products vital to America and trump is 100% correct that we need manufacturing in the US

But the vast majority of the manufacturing that might have left China (which is not all that much) just moved to countries next to China, they did not come back home.

Will you support new tariffs on those products no matter where they are imported from?
