It is another in a long line of CR's that have come to fund our nation's government. If the government shuts down 5 weeks prior to the election and the shutdown lasts a long time; who does it benefit in the 2018 Midterms?

When the Government shut down under Obama, the image I get is of WW2 Veterans denied access to the WW2 Memorial while illegals were given free run of the National Mall for a protest. Who were the Republicans in power that enforced this?

Monuments are closed during a Government shutdown. They are not essential Government services

The Mall is not a monument, it is an open area

If they are going to do a shut down they need to quit shutting down less than half of the government. Do all or nothing.

No essential personnel bullshit, shut it all down...no VA services, no meat inspections, no border crossings, no federal ATC folks working, no mail delivery, CIA, FBI, NSA all shut down.
