Monuments are closed during a Government shutdown. They are not essential Government servicesMedia will blame Trump.
Media blamed Pubs when Obama did it...and put guards at National Parks to make sure no one looked at Mount Rushmore. Government is shut down, so we are going to pay guards to make sure no one pulls off the highways at scenic overlooks.![]()
When the Government shut down under Obama, the image I get is of WW2 Veterans denied access to the WW2 Memorial while illegals were given free run of the National Mall for a protest. Who were the Republicans in power that enforced this?
The Mall is not a monument, it is an open area
The illegals had a permit to rally on the Mall and the same law enforcement personnel was on hand to watch them that denied WW2 Veterans access to the monuments. The WW2 Memorial is adjacent to the Mall on the Southeast side of the Washington Monument. It is outdoor monument not indoor yet some factions within the regime at the time saw to it that it was essential to enforce keeping WW2 Veterans out of an open Area.
