Polls did not say that. Commentators interpreted polls and said that. Polls a week and days before the election indicated Hillary would win the popular vote by a small percentage. They were right. Commentators failed to consider the EC vote.

I am not sure what you meant by 'Rasmussen has him down by 6 points'...he basically stayed the same this month with Rasmussen at 47% (which granted is pretty bad for the right-biased Rasmussen).

Trump is definitely down noticeably in other major polls released recently...hopefully this trend will continue.

And they were, generally, in 2016. Most had Clinton with a slim lead on Election Day.
