The IG report has as number of holes. He claims McCabe lied but there is no independent evidence that the IG stated except for McCabe said this and Comey said that. That is likely why no criminal action will be taken against McCabe. McCabe is a Republican who voted in the 2016 GOP primaries but did not vote in the general. That means he supported neither Trump nor Clinton.

The whole Uranium One deal has been debunked by Shep Smith. It was Obama who slapped sanctions on Russia that Putin has been trying to reverse. A plank in the Republican platform supporting lethal aid to Ukraine was removed at the behest of Trump. It was James Mattis who gets the credit for reversing that. Also Trump has been soft on Russia regarding Ukraine as he seemed to justify Russia's taking of Crimea. Comey found no evidence that anyone had hacked Clinton's server.

Why it has caused such real hysterics, I don't know. The I.G. thoroughly investigated the guy and found he didn't do anything with his "opinion" that would tip either investigation. The I.G. didn't even think his personal use of his phone during agency time required firing--just a suspension and a demotion. But to make the blood thirsty Trumpers happy, they fired him, too.

DOJ guidelines do not define conflicts of interest as holding a negative view of someone. The question is whether you can do your job without bias. The IG report found no evidence of any bias in the decisions that were made. Srtrzok conducted a FBI investigation into the Trump campaign before the election which no one knew about. He also supported re-opening the investigation into Clinton's e-mails when more were found. He did his job in a unbiased manner.

In the messages, Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, who were romantically involved, bashed Trump and discussed concerns about being too tough on Hillary Clinton during an investigation into the use of her private email server.
