Cuba

The problem with super patriotic american clowns is that the slightest criticism of Israel is equated with anti-semitism and the dissolution of the state of Israel. It's ironic because Tainnant supports the existence of a Jewish state in Palestine. He believes the state of Israel should evacuate the West Bank and return to the 1967 borders.
That's a far cry from being anti-Israel.

You're all probably confusing Tommy Tanaint with PF Tinmore.

Tinmore yes...

Tinmore is a american leftist who openly advocates the peaceful dismantlement of the state of Israel.

Tainant is pro-Israel just like you all...

Against the occupation of the WB... but definitely in favor of the existence of the jewish state.

The same reason that there should be an economic embargo on the ChiComs...'Cause they're oppressive, violent commie scum.
But they’re willing and ready to pimp out their labor force so they get a pass.

Heaven is spelled with an upper case H no matter where it appears in the sentence.

No. Heaven too can be upper or lower case depending on the usage.

It seems a bit off to blockade the country and then mock them for their lck of economic progress. The place is hardly a threat to the US.

Have you considered relocating there? I hear they have a citizenship fast-track for fat, anti-semitic blowhards.

Tommy is on all the right sides of the issues:
  • Pro Cuba
  • Pro Hamas
  • Pro Muslim
But mad as hell about Trump being president.
Tommy's gay.....what did you expect?

Is the US still blockading Cuba ? What is the justification for that ?

It's not a blockade, it's an embargo, two different concepts.

And we Embargo them because they nationalized hundreds of millions of dollars in US assets without compensation after the Cuban Revolution.

The REAL history of Cuba shows a much different sequence of events, with both sides taking precipitated, ill-advised decisions highlighted below:

After the Castro socialist government came to power on January 1, 1959, Castro made overtures to the United States but was rebuffed by the Dwight D. Eisenhower administration, which by March began making plans to help overthrow him. Congress did not want to lift the embargo.

In July 1960 the United States reduced the import quota of brown sugar from Cuba to 700,000 tons under the Sugar Act of 1948.

In October 1960 a key incident occurred: Eisenhower's government refused to export oil to the island, leaving Cuba reliant on Soviet crude oil, which the American companies in Cuba refused to refine. This led the Cuban government to nationalize all three American-owned oil refineries in Cuba in response. The refinery owners were not compensated for the nationalization of their property. The refineries became part of the state-run company, Unión Cuba-Petróleo.[19][20] This prompted the Eisenhower administration to launch the first trade embargo—a prohibition against selling all products to Cuba except food and medicine. The Cuban regime responded with nationalization of all American businesses and most American privately owned properties on the island. No compensation was given for the seizures, and a number of diplomats were expelled from Cuba.

Agreed. Let's remove the Commies and let US multinationals redevelop the Island
I would have thought that the Cubans if shown the benefits of capitalism would be more inclined to reject communism. The last doc I watched about the island showed a lot of small businesses opening up.

Cuba is violent?
Their Government is against the people of the Island and have been since the Spanish ruled them…

As for why we have the rules that we have with Cuba has to do with the Soviet days and the Soviet Union wanting to put missiles on the Island which almost put us at war with the Soviets…

Now the question is has this stopped the regime in Cuba from being oppressive and caused regime change?

No, so what is the point in today time to keep on punishing Cuba?

Castro came to the US looking for help. Remember? The US drove Cuba into the arms of the Soviets when the US sugar beet lobby won out over our purchase of Cuban sugar. The USSR bought their whole crop until the collapse of the Soviet Union.

I think we have punished Cuba 40 years too long.

Castro refused to be the U.S. puppet but it didn’t excuse Castro stupidity when attempting to allow the Soviets to put Nuclear Weapons ninety miles from the U.S., so Castro caused the Embargo but now is a different time and era and it is time to let it go…
