The only thing that will save the country financially is drastic budget and spending cuts. If we continue to spend more than we take in the problem only gets bigger. And contrary to what most of the libs say, we cannot tax the rich enough to fix the mess, there simply aren't enough of them.

Instead, Clinton limited growth in spending at or about the COLA to be offeset by the expected growth in gdp by increasing the spending in programs PAID FOR by the tax increase. He cut NOTHING and balanced the budget because he could add.

You need to read. The president starts and ends the budget process, initiates the budget request and signs it into law. He has the most input. The house just responds first to the president and the senate next. The budget passes through the presidents desk twice and each house once….do your home work.
