I did not say that at all.So, what you are saying is that since Trump was "serving all the American people" excess spending and rapidly increasing the deficit did not matter.
No, they matter all the time.Those things only matter when you think the POTUS is not serving all the American people
Point is that you Democrats are comparing apples to hammers when you ask why the GOP picked a fight with Biden and not Trump.
We had a strong economy under Trump until the Dems came up with the scamdemic to ruin it. Unemployment, especially for people of color, was at an all time low. That meant increased tax revenue from people who are working instead of collecting welfare. Reduction in illegal immigration meant less expendature on them in welfare and services. Cutting regulations meant less needed to spent enforcing them. Strong negotiations with trading partners meant more wealth for the U.S.
Increased revenue, combined with reductions in spending and size of government that could reduce the deficit are possible under such a president with a supportive congress, so a debt ceiling fight was not needed.
