- Discriminating against Christians
- Discrimination against Jews
I guess in their minds they can't discriminate and push others around anymore, that must mean they are being discriminated against I weep at the stupidity of man

When people are chopped to pieces with machetes because they are Christian, I call that persecution.

Regional Strategy Needed to End Rebel Groups Atrocities and Apprehend Leaders
March 28, 2010
(Kampala) - The rebel Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) killed at least 321 civilians and abducted 250 others, including at least 80 children, during a previously unreported four-day rampage in the Makombo area of northeastern Democratic Republic of Congo in December 2009, Human Rights Watch said in a report released today.
....
LRA forces attacked at least 10 villages, capturing, killing, and abducting hundreds of civilians, including women and children. The vast majority of those killed were adult men, whom LRA combatants first tied up and then hacked to death with machetes or crushed their skulls with axes and heavy wooden sticks. The dead include at least 13 women and 23 children, the youngest a 3-year-old girl who was burned to death. LRA combatants tied some of the victims to trees before crushing their skulls with axes.
What culture is harming others viewed as ethical? I mean, we can get into a whole discussion about what defines "good" and "bad", but I'd rather stay more objective than philosophical. The ethical principle I pointed out above does not require you to benefit others. I dislike the notion "do onto others as you would have them do onto you" because it is frequently misinterpreted and abused as "force onto others as you would want for yourself": the issue of "morals" getting into politics, where they have no place. Why is it ethical to benefit others or not harm others? Why is that considered an ethical standard in our culture when it is not the ethical standard in others?
So where does not sense of duty to benefit others come from?
Where does a conviction to not harm others arise?
Who decided?
Who decides?
Why?
When people are chopped to pieces with machetes because they are Christian, I call that persecution. When people are not ALLOWED (under punishment of death) to worship their G*d (or even quietly pray to their G*d) in many countries, that is discrimmination. You are bigots and discrimminators.

You've got it backwards, chief.

The Christians are the ones with the machetes. Don't let that put a damper on your persecution complex, though.

Government and society needs to STAY THE HELL OUT of the morals name game.
PRINCETON, NJ -- Americans are three times more likely to describe the current state of moral values in the United States as "poor" than as "excellent" or "good." Americans' assessment of U.S. morality has never been positive, but the current ratings rank among the worst Gallup has measured over the past nine years.
Additionally, Gallup's annual poll on moral values, conducted May 3-6, finds 76% of Americans saying moral values in the United States are getting worse; while 14% say they are getting better. Last year saw a slight improvement in these attitudes -- with 21% saying values were getting better -- but opinion has since reverted to near 2006-2008 levels.
Teen pregnancy may be #19 on the list - but I believe it is a significant factor in at least half of all the others.
What say you?

Nope. Could you come down from your cross long enough to actually link to the crap in your post?Just do a search on 'Christians killed'. Would you care to revise your statement?
You dishonest moron.Because a muslim group chooses a deceptive name, does not make it a Christian group.
Sorry, Scooter; you don't get to slander Islam by attempting to disown a group that follows your own depraved religion.
I hate the "declining morals" argument. THere has always been crimes, rape, pediphilia, etc, its just now with 24/7 news, you hear about everything. I don't think there is drastic rises in these things.
Disrespect with children and people, yeah, that's likely increased from back in the day. But there is less gay bashing, less racism and discrimination, less sexual harassment and other mistreatment of people going on than in the past, in which many people want to pretend it was the good old days, which is complete fairy tales. But as population grows and there is more and more anonymity, that's what tends to happen in humans.
And then there is the fact that 2 spouses have to work full time to get by, the kids are being raised in daycare, and its harder and more stressful to work and make ends meat. That can wear on anybody.

A CHRISTIAN fundamentalist army is rampaging in Uganda, a country coming out of a brutal past and where the economy is now the fastest-growing in Africa, the press is free and presidential elections are scheduled for May.

More than 25,000 children have been abducted to serve the rebel army -- motivated by a fanatical Christian doctrine -- as foot soldiers and sex slaves.

Sorry, Scooter; you don't get to slander Islam by attempting to disown a group that follows your own depraved religion. Tens of thousands of children abducted and raped or forced to fight... tens of thousands of civilians mutilated or killed with primitive weapons... all crimes perpetrated by "oppressed" Christians.

If you read 'who' the Lord's resistance Army says they are, they take 'ideals from Christianity, AS WELL AS MUSLIM, and mysticism.
They are not a Christian group. They use the name (unlike the muslims, Christians do not have to 'tolerate' unethical and immoral practices by a group, just because they claim to follow 'the faith'). This group is not Christian, what they are doing is against the Commandments. That would make them bearers of false witness, also.
