No, nobody ever said that; we're saying you would see a significant drop in murder rates. There would still be fist fights, glassings, knife fights, whatever, but there would be less murder. People would get into fights or get mugged and more people would live to tell about it.

It will? The vast majority of murders are criminal on criminal. It’s already illegal for then to even be in possession of any gun. Many of the remaining gun deaths are suicide. Someone wanting to commit suicide will just switch to a different method. Slit wrists and carbon monoxide are popular as is drug overdose.
